Roses

P1060335 (4)My second card is for the MFT Card Challenge.

MFT_WSC_330I stamped the Roses All Over BG Stamp and white heat embossed it.  I shaded it with a light blending of Milled Lavender Distress Ink. A silver embossed matching rose die cut was added to the vellum and silver strip along with some silver thread and a few diamantes.

The sentiment belongs to MFT Framed Greetings.

Thanks again

Happy Birthday Friend

P1060338I’m back tonight to post my entry in Scrapbook Boutique’s April Mood board Challenge.  The beautiful soft pastels on the board are just so pretty.

AprilMy card features a crazy tea set reminiscent of my Mum’s crazy tea sets. It is from Papermania’s Lucy Cromwell – Teacups Stamp Set and the bunting is from her Bunting Stamp Set. The colouring  uses Copic markers.  The sentiment is from MFT Beary Special Birthday Set. I added some Nuvo  crystal drops in duck egg blue.

Thanks for popping in

Baby card – Penny Black Frame

P1060279

My final post for the night is a favourite card I have sent to celebrate a friend’s new baby girl.

I just love this Penny Black Ivy Frame wood block stamp. It was one of my first stamps and has been used over and over. The little rabbit, picked up on a throw out table somewhere years ago, is also so cute and much loved.

I am entering it in the Less is More #325 Stripe Challenge.

The images are water coloured using Tombow pens.

Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your weekend.

Ballerina

P1060331

My next post uses a new stamp I saw and just fell in love with.  This beautiful ballerina comes from the Gabi’s Haute Couture Stamp Set from 49 and Market.  I thought she was so delicate and captured the essence of dancers.

I loved playing with the set and decided to enter this card in the following Challenges – Clean and Simple, Wednesday’s Creative Inspirations – For the Girls, and  Seize the Birthday.

She is coloured with Copics and with lots of Wink of Stella over her tutu. It’s a shame it doesn’t show up better in the photo.  I coloured the bottom panel and ribbon with the same Copic colour.

Have a great weekend.

Framed Flowers Die

P1060327 (2)

I’m back tonight with a couple of different cards I have made recently.

The first is a card I made for the Paper Players #341 Challenge. I’m also entering it in the Seize the Day, Anything Goes Birthday Challenge.  It features the Penny Black Framed Flowers Die, coloured with Tombow markers and mounted on a water coloured Distress Ink background strip which I then put through an embossing folder.  The sentiment came from the Altnew Beautiful Lady stamp set.

I hope you liked this bright cheerful card.

Thanks for popping in

Poppies

P1060320

I’m here to post a card I made a few weeks ago featuring the Memory Box Row of Poppies Die.  I water coloured the flowers and added some Wink of Stella to add a bit of glitz.  I decided to enter it in the April CAS Mix Up  Challenge.

untitledI thought it was a very appropriate flower choice with today being ANZAC Day here in Australia.

Thanks

Helen

Make a wish…

P1060310

I’m back to share this card in the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge 284. http://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com.au/

FMS284

I had previously used my copics to colour this gorgeous little girl, and decided this was a perfect layout to feature her.  She is a Suzanne Woolcott stamp called Poppy Field. The balloon is from My Favourite Things Sweet BD Wishes.

I hope you like her too.  I just love these character stamps.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great week.

Butterflies

Happy Easter.

P1060303

Tonight I’m sharing a card that came from another of my good ideas.

I had a small piece of  water coloured paper left over and thought it would look lovely on the  Memory Box Butterfly Die. It took a bit more work that I had planned to glue on the matching butterflies.

After finding it in my box of scraps, I decided to make this card.  I finished it off with a few individual butterflies cut with the co-ordinating Butterfly Delights Die, a touch of Gold Wink of Stella and a sentiment from Stampin’ Up.

I decided to enter it in the challenges over at Stamplorations.  First in the Things with Wings Blog Hop & Linky Party as well as the CAS Card Challenge – Anything CAS Goes with an Optional Pastel Colour Twist.

I hope you like it. The colours are so soft and muted in real life, but they seem to bleach little in the photo.

Thanks for dropping in.

Poppy

Happy Easter everyone!

P1060172
I was happy with the way this card turned out.  However, it was very time consuming the way I attached the background die because I chose to use the cut out rather than the die itself.
I made it a while ago, and learnt a few things along the way that should make things easier next time. (Maybe!!!)
I used the Altnew Cover Die for the background and the poppy is the SSS tattered poppy die coloured with Copics and of course, a touch of Wink of Stella.
I decided to enter it into Happy Little Stamper April – Anything goes with Dies.

I hope you like it.
