Roses – from the Heart

P1060197 (2)Hi there.

I’m here to share this card which is a little different. It uses Penny Black wood block stamp ‘The Look of Love’.  I coloured directly to the stamp with Distress Inks and sprayed it lightly with water and stamped it several times without re-inking. To me it gives a sense of movement.  The sentiment is from a lovely little set from There She Goes –  ‘ Everyday Greetings’.

I decided to enter it in the CASology cue card Challenge Week 247 – FLOW,     Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge May 2017 – Anything goes – Optional Twist – RED,     CAS Watercolour – May 2017 – Flowers,     CAS Mix Up May 2017 – Stamping + Splattering+ Your choice  and     STAMPlorations CAS Card Challenge – Anything Goes – Optional Twist – Feminine Colours.

Have a good week

Helen

I live in sunny Queensland, Australia with my husband and daughter. Since I was a child, I have always loved to create and have enjoyed all kinds of crafts, sewing and painting. China painting helped develop my understanding of colour and design. Over the last few years card making has taken up a major part of my crafting time as I love to play with new techniques and mediums. Since beginning my blog, entering various challenges has encouraged me to grow my skills and creativity.

  1. Hi Helen. I agree with you that stamping the rose several times without inking, gives lots of movement to the cards. Very pretty images and wonderful splattering. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour and CAS Mix up!
