Friends are the Essence of Life

P1060435My second card features Art Impression  stamp – Walking in the Sun, which is stamped twice.  The first is water coloured with Tombows and has Wink of Stella added to the umbrellas and rooves for some interest. The square coloured panel is cut out.

The second image is cut with Wonky Stitch Square STAX Dies (My Favourite Things) and attached with some craft foam to the card front.

The coloured panel is attached with craft foam on top of the front image. I added a sentiment from Kaisercraft – Friendship Sentiments and finished it off with some Nuvo drop pearls and rounded the open corners.

I am entering it in the Inspired by All the Little Things #62 Challenge and Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge – Anything Goes – option of using Art Impressions Products.

Enjoy your weekend

Hello

P1060434Hello Crafting Friends

Tonight’s card is very simple but I was very pleased with the way it turned out.

Altnew’s Floral Shadow stamps were gold embossed on black card. I added some gold splatters, a piece of gold card down the side and some gold ink splatters.  The sentiment was die cut and then glued to some black card and fussy cut.

It fits Scrapbook Boutique June Challenge very well as well as I love Allsorts Challenges – Flower Power and Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge.

Happy Birthday – Altnew

P1060430 (2)Hello again

My second card for the night is this floral from Altnew – Beautiful Day with leaves from the Remember This set. I heat embossed the flowers in white embossing powder.  They are water coloured using Tombow pens, fussy cut and added to the background with dimensional tape. Of course I couldn’t help but add a little Wink of Stella to the petal turnovers.

The background was a water colour wash on the panel using Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. It is finished with an Altnew Label Love sentiment and some Nuvo drop pearls.

I am entering it in the following challenges: Altnew Inspiration Challenge – June, I love Allsorts challenges!, Seize the Birthday – Anything Goes, I love spending time at Time Out Challenges and finally, Happy Little stampers – Watercolour Challenge for June.

With Love Tag

P1060428Hello

Tonight I’m sharing a tag I made to enter in the Tag You’re It #72 Challenge as well as Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge – Anything Goes.

I had fun playing with a few new goodies. The frame is one of my favourite Spellbinders Nestabilities – Fleur de Lis Rectangles as well as Poppy Stamps Clara Corner (cut and embossed). The background used Brusho aquamarine and was sprayed with some Perfect Pearls water.  The sentiment die is a new one from a local shop sold under their name.

Thanks for stopping bye.

Helen

Have a Delightful Day

P1060426 - Copy (2)

I’m back tonight with a cute little card for My Favourite Things MFTWSC338 Challenge as well as Happy Little Stampers – Anything Goes with Dies Challenge and Seize the Birthday – Anything Goes Challenge.

I used MFT Blueprints 26 to cut the card front with a MFT Winter Wreath cut in the top.  I cut 4 layers of the wreath so I could build up the frame and water coloured them using Distress Inks.

Next, I used Brusho watercolour smooching to make a blue/ green background piece and added a couple of leaves from MFT Leafy Greenery dies.  The little foxes and butterflies (MFT Sweet Forest Friends) are coloured with Copics and fussy cut and placed behind the wreath. The sentiment is from the same set.

Of course, I just had to add a little Wink of Stella to the leaves and wreath to finish.

Celebrate

P1060422.JPGI have recently bought some Brusho Crystal Colours and have been having fun playing.  The piece used on this card uses Leaf Green and Turquoise.  I love the way it turned out, so I decided it would be perfect to use for the June Freshly Made Sketches 293 Challenge.

I added some stars using the Simon Says Stamps – Stacked Stars Die and the Celebrate die from Couture Creations.  After adding the stars I gave the piece a light mist with some Perfect Pearls mixed in water and added Wink of Stella to the stars and celebrate die cuts.  Unfortunately, the glitter doesn’t show up so well in the photo.  It is much prettier in real life. I think this little close up shows the glitter better.

The piece was also run through the Cuttlebug so the die cuts embedded into the background.

I’m also entering it in the Happy Little Stampers Watercolour and Mixed Media – Glitter – Challenges – for June 2017, as well as the Cardz 4 Guys Challenge Blog – #172 Stars.

Cheers

Just a Note

P1060421Hi there

Here is a card I decided to enter in the  Curtain Call Card Challenge and also in the ‘I love Allsorts Challenges – Flower Power.

I love the bright pink colours but unfortunately the light doesn’t it show off properly.

Hero Arts Poppy Background was black heat embossed and coloured in Copic markers.

It is mounted in a Pierced Rectangle Die by MFT and then added on a black die cut using the Altnew Shutter Cover Die.

Bye for now

Gold

P1060359 (2)Hi Everyone

I think this birthday card is rather special and eye-catching in real life. I played around with this different way of colouring a flower image when a friend asked for a card for her sister’s Golden Wedding Anniversary last year. I used Altnew’s  Majestic Blooms (large flowers) and Peony Bouquet (the bud ).   They were stamped in black ink, with some light watercolour shading, first in Memento London Fog, followed over the top by more highlighting using Delicata Golden Glitz ink. Both inks work well with water after smooching some ink on an acrylic block.                                                                                    The sentiment is a stamp from My Favourite Things – Die-namics – Polka Dot  Greetings.

The gold band along the side is also made using Delicata Golden Glitz swiped over white card.

I am entering it in Scrapbook Boutique’s June Challenge – Gold is the new Black, Seize the Birthday – Anything Goes Challenge and Addicted to Stamps and More- Make Your Mark.

P1060398 (2)Hi there

I’m here to share a birthday card I made recently for a friend who loves cats.

It features Penny Black Slapstick/Cling stamp ‘the lookout’ which I coloured using Copic  markers.  I then fussy cut the image and mounted in on a brick work embossing folder.

Luckily, it just happens to fit the Inspired by All the Little Things #61 Challenge, the Penny Black and More – June Challenge – Anything Goes and Wednesday’s Creative Inspiration Challenge #277 – Our Furry / Feather Friends.
