Hi Everyone
I think this birthday card is rather special and eye-catching in real life. I played around with this different way of colouring a flower image when a friend asked for a card for her sister’s Golden Wedding Anniversary last year. I used Altnew’s Majestic Blooms (large flowers) and Peony Bouquet (the bud ). They were stamped in black ink, with some light watercolour shading, first in Memento London Fog, followed over the top by more highlighting using Delicata Golden Glitz ink. Both inks work well with water after smooching some ink on an acrylic block. The sentiment is a stamp from My Favourite Things – Die-namics – Polka Dot Greetings.
The gold band along the side is also made using Delicata Golden Glitz swiped over white card.
I am entering it in Scrapbook Boutique’s June Challenge – Gold is the new Black, Seize the Birthday – Anything Goes Challenge and Addicted to Stamps and More- Make Your Mark.
See you next time
Helen

A really lovely entry into our challenge this month at Scrapbook Boutique! Your colouring is superb – colouring with those inks left the flowers looking so delicate and real! The bold gold strip is beautiful – a great take on the inspiration moodboard!
