Happy Birthday Elephant

P1060479Welcome back!

Tonight I have  a couple of fun cards to share.

My first features Art Impression – Elephant Set.  I just fell in love with her when I first saw her.  I had already copic  coloured her and added her bright red and white dress.  So I added her to a embossing folder swirly background.  Just for fun I added gold Wink of Stella to her handbag and sunnies and a shiny flower sequin for her hat!

It is linked to the following challenges: CAS Colours & Sketches #231- Sketch, Seize the Birthday – Toppings – Red & White, Wednesday Creative Inspirations – Anything Goes,  Paru’s Card Making – Birthday,  AI – Bling, Glitter or Glossy and STAMPlorations – Stamps & Warm Colours.

Thanks for popping in

Tonight’s card is one I started a while ago, but hadn’t finished.  I had done some Distress ink blending and played with making the MFT word die sentiment two tone.

I felt it was lacking something and so I added 3 gold die cut flowers.  I think it worked well. The sentiment die comes from a new Aussie company, Paper Roses.

See you tomorrow

Tonight’s card was inspired by the current MFT Sketch challenge.

I had been playing with some Brusho’s on different paper (including tissue) and decided to use some here.  I over stamped it with MFT – Cheesecloth BG stamp in silver to add extra texture.

The image (from MFT The ala modes “Cheers”) was water coloured using tombows and Distress inks. The side panel was water coloured and attached with the silver card.

The sentiment is MFT Die-namics – Accent it – Celebrate.

Challenges: MFTWSC340 Sketch Challenge, Scrapbook Boutique, CAS Mix Up, Happy Little Stampers – Watercolour Challenge – Optional twist – Blue and Paru’s CardMaking Challenge – Birthday.

P1060472Here is my final card for tonight. It uses Tim Holtz Crazy Birds stamp coloured with Copics.  I added touched of colour to the plain background paper to match the bird.

Thinking of You

P1060470 (2)My second card for the night uses these pretty frangipani flowers.  It is another of my original wood block stamps from a local Brisbane designer.

They were watercoloured using Distress Inks and fussy cut.  I added a few splatters of gold and pink for the background.

I am linking it to following challenges:  CAS Colours & Sketches, Freshly Made Sketches – FMS 295, Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge – Summer Sunshine, Happy Little Stampers – Watercolour – Anything Goes and The Flower Challenge – Embossing Heat / Dry.
