Hi there

Inspiration for tonight’s card came from the Altnew Challenge.

When the Sketchy Floral stamp set arrived yesterday, it changes my plans a little as I just had to play! I stamped it in Versamark and then heat embossed with Copper embossing powder. The flowers are water coloured with Distress Inks and the leaves with Brilliance Cosmic Copper Ink. Of course I added a little Wink of Stella to the flowers to give a little bit more sheen.

The piece is very large so I fussy cut it and divided it into sections. This card features about half the image, so there’s another card in the pipeline!

I raised the middle panel and flowers and added some copper thread.

PS When I visited the blog to enter my card at Altnew, I realised that Erum had used the same set for her card. I hope that doesn’t matter.

Just like Therese, I knew where your inspiration came from the minute I saw it. You’ve done such a fantastic job with your card, Helen. Using copper instead of gold was a great choice. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Addicted to Stamps and More.

OMGoodness Helen this is stunning. So many beeeeeeeeeeeeautiful elements here and I so love your amazing colouring. Love everything you have done here. The bronze embossing is perfect. Great fussy cutting. You certainly NAILED the Altenew Challenge.
