I had some fun playing with my new set from Lawn Fawn, ‘For You Dear’. Still on my ‘gold’ bent, I decided to team them up with Hero Arts CL318 Stars stamp set, using gold embossing powder. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn ‘Upon a Star’ set.
I added them to some scraps of glittery design paper scraps. I thought they were so cute and would make a great card for many occasions, including Christmas.

Obviously I was having a gold thing going while I was playing.
This card uses Altnew’s beautiful Arabesque Medallion, heat embossed in gold then smooched with a combination of Distress and Delicatta Gold Inks and pearlised water to add a little extra sparkle. IRL it is so sparkly!

Enjoy your weekend
I am in need of quite a few special cards lately, so I’ve been busy playing with a few different ideas.
Once again, this card has no colouring! Very different! LOL!
Using a piece of pink cardstock, I used Versamark Ink for the Altnew Layered Dahlia Stencil A and Delicatta Gold Ink for layer B. I finished with gold heat embossed sentiments from Altnew ‘Believe’ stamp set and some gold studs.
The effect is really pretty IRL.

I love this black and white card with its elegant 1920’s lady. There is no colouring! Such a change for me. 🙂
I seem to be dragging out lots of the old wood mount stamps lately. This card features a Stampin’ Up background and the lady is one I picked up on a throwout table long ago.
Challenges: Siomon Says Stamps Monday – Monochrome, AAA Cards CAS Game #101 Inspired by a Film. (Mine was Throughly Modern Millie), and STAMPlorations – October Theme and Sketch Challenge – using the Theme – Stamps & Two Colors.
Thanks for stopping by. See you soon,
This card features an ‘oldie but goodie’ wood block stamp by a local stamp maker. The background was water coloured using Distress Inks then heat embossed using Copper embossing powder. I finished it with a similarly shaped leaf shape and sentiment also copper heat embossed.
I hope this photo shows a little better how pretty the copper embossing really is. Unfortunately, it causes a bit of glare when the light hits it at many angles.
Challenges: Modsquad – Sympathy/Thinking of You, Double D Challenges – ‘Leave’ it to me!, STAMPlorations CAS Card Challenge – Anything CAS Goes – optional twist : orange and Simon Says Stamps Wednesday – Photo Challenge.
Thanks for checking in
I love this Penny Black stamp – Tulip Bouquet, which was one of my first stamps (wood mounted) and it has featured on so many cards over the years.
This simple one layer card is a wateroloured version with a lovely sentiment from Altnew.
Challenges: Flower Challenge – 1st Birthday – #13 – Use Your Favourite Flower, Happy Little Stampers – Watercolour – Anything Goes, Happy Little Stampers CAS – one layer and Simon Says Stamps Wednesday – Thinking of You.

This post is a little different as it features a photo frame / insert stamped with Distress Inks in Autumn tones used for both blending and water colour stamping.
It features stamps from several different sets including Stampin’ Up – En Francais background and Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden Collection.
Challenges: Simon Says Stamps – Monday – Not a Card, Winnie & Walter – WCMD 2017 | Anything But a Card Challenge with Kelly, Uniko – Autumn / Fall and Mix It Up Challenge #6 – Anything Goes with optional Watercolour.
This is a very special shaker card featuring Simon Says Stamps – Magical Birthday stamp set. I had a piece of watercoloured card left over in my stash, but because it was a bit bright, I used the Bokeh effect using Hero Arts Unicorn white pigment ink, followed by some gold ink splatters. I was really happy with the way it finished up. The images are coloured with copics and then Wink of Stella (clear and gold) for that extra shine.
I popped up the MFT frame with fun foam and filled it with various stars and sequins. The 4 is MFT number die set.
Challenges: Winnie & Walter – WCMD 2017 Rainbow Color Challenge with Lea, Just Us Girls #415 – Window or Peek-a-Boo Card, Seize the Birthday – Anything Goes, The Cat’s Pajamas – A Bit of Sparkle and Happy Little Stampers Watercolour – with a gold twist.
See you next time
This is one of my first Christmas cards featuring Papertrey Ink – Year of the Flowers – Poinsettias. They are stamped and watercoloured in gold Delicatta Ink on both card and on vellum. I bought this set years ago, but it is still one of my favourite stamps.
I stamped one large and two small on white card and one large and two small on Vellum, then fussy cut and layered them onto the front of the card. (The top small flowers have only the inner row of petals). The sentiment from Kaisercraft is stamped inside the card, using Brilliance Lightning Black Ink, so it can be viewed through the die cut window. The dies are from a set called Simply Dies form Catchy Crafts.
Challenges: Addicted to Stamps and More – Holidays, Just Us Girls #415-Window or Peek-a-Boo Card, Paru’s Card Making – A Touch of Gold, Winnie & Walter- WCMD 2017 | Lovely Layers Challenge with Keren, Happy Little Stampers October Watercolour – Gold Twist and Christmas Challenge without the twist and The Cat’s Pajamas – A Bit of Sparkle.
These cards came about as I was in need some male cards.
My cards feature several stamps from different sets to form a bright and rather busy background. I finished them with stars die from Poppycraft and Celebrate from My Favorite Things which I layered up with some coloured fun foam.
Challenges: Winnie & Walter – WCMD 2017 – Variations Challenge with Shay and Winnie & Walter – WCMD 2017 | Background Building/Pattern Making Challenge with Mayuri.
Till next time
