WWC162 – Charlotte’s Masculine “Anything Goes” Challenge

P1060194 (3)

Hello again and welcome to the new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday.  This week’s Masculine challenge – “Anything Goes” is hosted by Charlotte.

I decided to have a bit of a fun with my card this week!

The fun cat is one of 2 from an old Daisy & Dandelion stamp set called Pumpkin & Aubergine!

After stamping the image on a white die cut  oval, it was coloured using Copics. To add a background, a small star was randomly stamped behind him in blue. An orange marker is then run around the oval to give a finished edge.

A piece of designer paper was cut using MFT Die-namics – Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX and attached to a top folding card.

The oval was added on top and a Celebrate, Couture Creations, die cut was layered up twice, coloured in orange and then covered in Glossy Accents.  Once dry it was glued across the top of the oval.

I hope you will join our challenge this week.  Thanks so much for stopping by and please be sure to check out all the great cards designed by the rest of the wonderful  team on our blog.

I live in sunny Queensland, Australia with my husband and daughter. Since I was a child, I have always loved to create and have enjoyed all kinds of crafts, sewing and painting. China painting helped develop my understanding of colour and design. Over the last few years card making has taken up a major part of my crafting time as I love to play with new techniques and mediums. Since beginning my blog, entering various challenges has encouraged me to grow my skills and creativity.

  1. Hi Helen, I’m so glad you decided to have fun with your card this week because I’m in love with that saucy cat! Don’t they all act as if they should be wearing crowns? Love the colouring, especially with similar colours in the background shapes. That sentiment is amazingly glossy. It’s the perfect addition to this fun card.

  2. Such a sweet image – and so perfectly paired with that glossy die cut sentiment! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Jill
