WWC170 – Penny’s Masculine “Anything Goes” Challenge

As and update. I was lucky enough for this card to be selected as Top 3 in Stamping Sensations May Challenge – Close to Nature.

Hello and welcome to this week’s Masculine “Anything Goes” Challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday. The Penny is our lovely host this week.
Image may contain: one or more people and textI wanted to try something different this week. Recently a friend made the sea change.  I must admit to being very jealous, as I just love the water. So I decided to try for a seaview where you could sit, relax and enjoy!

So I hope you enjoy my card.

I stamped images from an old “There She Goes – By the Sea”  stamp set to form the scene in Distress Antique Linen. This week’s yellow, sky blue and grey colour challenge over at Less is More fitted just perfectly.

The watercolouring uses only – Denim Jeans, Wild Honey and Hickory Smoke. It was just a matter of building up some layers of colour or adding in some grey to get the variation of  shades.  Lucky for me the wet colours bled just enough on one section of the horizon to form some island effect.

The sentiment came from a great SSS Set Best Hugs.

Thanks so much for visiting.

Please don’t forget to check all the wonderful creations from our great Design Team at our Blog.

I hope you can join in this week! Have some creative fun!

Helen

I live in sunny Queensland, Australia with my husband and daughter. Since I was a child, I have always loved to create and have enjoyed all kinds of crafts, sewing and painting. China painting helped develop my understanding of colour and design. Over the last few years card making has taken up a major part of my crafting time as I love to play with new techniques and mediums. Since beginning my blog, entering various challenges has encouraged me to grow my skills and creativity.
