Thank you so much to the team from CAS-ual Fridays for choosing my card as a favorite in their challenge. Also Paru’s Card Challenge for selecting my card for a Special Mention.

    Special mention-1

Welcome

This week Gail is hosting our first challenge for October –  WWC190 – Gail’s Feminine “Anything Goes” Challenge.
Image may contain: one or more people and text For this week’s card, I used  The Ton – Butterfly Swirl die to cut butterflies across the corners of the card front.

After creating a background piece by smooching Oxide Inks and flicks of gold acrylic paint, I used the panel behind the cut outs as well as cutting 2 of the larger butterflies from the die to add to the top.

The panel was then attached to some gold card before adding it to the card front.

The Die-namics – Absolutely Fabulous word die was cut from black card and then the bottom half was gold heat embossed. It was then attached across  the card front.

To finish, I added some small gold butterflies from Memory Box Butterfly Delights die and the 2 butterflies cut from the background, after adding some gold edges and folding the wings.

I live in sunny Queensland, Australia with my husband and daughter. Since I was a child, I have always loved to create and have enjoyed all kinds of crafts, sewing and painting. China painting helped develop my understanding of colour and design. Over the last few years card making has taken up a major part of my crafting time as I love to play with new techniques and mediums. Since beginning my blog, entering various challenges has encouraged me to grow my skills and creativity.

  1. This is a stunner. Love the use of negative and positive dies. And stunning background with just a hint of the gold there and this then followed through with the sentiment. Wonderful to have you join us at Time Out

  2. The ink background looks great showing through the die cuts and it was a wonderful idea to add larger butterflies from the same paper. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Addicted to Stamps and More.

  3. Such a pretty Autumnal card – I love the vibrant colours and the splashes of gold! Those butterflies really do make me think of leaves flying around in a Fall breeze. Thanks for playing along with us at TIME OUT! Jill
