2019-02-26 01.19.35

Thanks so much to Art Impressions for selecting my card for the Top Spot on their Challenge 250 House or Cottage WEEK 2! challenge!

Hello and welcome

It’s time for a new challenge for Watercooler Wednesday Challenge with  Heidi’s “All About Occasions” Challenge!  Such an easy challenge to enter!

My card today is a little different as I combined 2 Art Impressions ‘Window’ stamps.

I began by stamping and distress watercolouring AI –  Cottage Window Stamp and AI – Windows Greatest Gift stamps.

After cutting around the images themselves I added them to black die cut photo frames from Kaisercraft.

DP was cut using Mamma Elephant – Pizazz Pieces – Creative Cuts and then added to the card front before adding the 2 photos and the sentiment from MFT – Homespun Birdhouse Die-Namics stamp set.

I thought it this was a fun card for a new home or for someone coming home.

Be sure to check out our blog to see all the inspiration from the Design Team!  Good luck with the challenge!

Have a great week!

Cheers

Helen

Hello and welcome

This week’s challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday is Marsha’s Masculine “Anything Goes” Challenge!
Image may contain: one or more people, text that says "WWC209 Marsha's Masculine "Anything Goes" Challenge"This week I had fun with a Katzelkraft mini stamp set I hadn’t used yet.  I thought this image was just so much fun when I saw it! I can’t help but smile!

I stamped it, on a card panel die cut with the largest Cutplorations Wonky Rectangle, using my new Altnew Gentleman’s Gray Inks.

I used the same inks to add some basic water colouring along with some Distress Black Soot ink. I did add a little light peach-pink to the tongue, tummy, ears and cheeks. It’s rather difficult to see it on the photo, but IRL it just adds a little added detail.

To add some interest I added details to the microphone with silver Wink of Stella pen.

The sentiment is from Winnie & Walter – Party On stamp set.

I then mounted the panel onto the card front to finish this one layer CAS card.

Thanks so much for visiting.  I hope you will enter a card into this week’s challenge. Don’t forget to check out the great inspiration over on our blog.

Have a great week

Cheers

It’s time for the next Challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday.  This week Charlotte is hosting our “All About Occasions” Challenge.  This is an easy challenge to enter!

Image may contain: textI decided to play with my Art Impressions  Giraffe Twist Ties Stamp Set this week.

After stamping those cute giraffe images on white card, I watercoloured them using Tombows before fussy cutting them.

The background was die cut using the Mama Elephant Pizazz Pieces border die and adding it to some kraft cardstock and then the card front.  I also used Circle Dies to cute 3 different sized circles from kraft.

SSS Circle Sayings was used for the sentiment on the smallest circle before adding them all to the card front.

The 2 giraffes were added to the other circles using raised tape.

I hope you like this card.

21 – Celebrate!

Hello and welcome

Today, I’m back with my first card for Happy Little Stampers – Anything goes with Dies Challenge!

My card is a 21st card I made.  I had fun with lots of dies and some Designer Paper!

This is super easy and quite fast card, as there is no stamping or colouring – unheard of for me!

To begin, the stitched circle die was cut from the centre front of the card.

Using some DP, I cut  SSS Star Parade string of  stars, some solid stars from MFT Die-namics – Stars die, Die namics Numbers as well as  ‘Celebrate’ Couture Creations die.  Both the numbers and the ‘celebrate’ were also cut in black card and added behiind the DP pieces, offsetting them slightly, for a shadow effect.

It was then only a matter of putting it all together!

Starting with adding the front panel, adding the numbers to the centre, followed by the stars.

Please head over to our blog and check out the wonderfully inspirational work by the rest of the Design Team!  I hope you will find the time to join our challenge this month.  Good luck!

Hello and welcome

I am pleased to be hosting the new  Feminine “Anything Goes” Challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday Challenge blog this week!  I’m looking forward to seeing what you create this week!
Image may contain: one or more people and textThis week I decided to go for something a little different and make another CAS card this week!

I started with heat embossing the tiered cake stand from Papermania’s Lucy Cromwell – Bunting Stamps with Rose Gold embossing powder from Lawn Fawn!  A real oldie but still one of my go to sets!  Lovely clear images and the embossing is so pretty!

P1080051After watercolouring with Distress Inks, I used Rose Gold embossing powder to add sentiments from Honey Bee – Love You set and SSS  – Best Hugs stamp set.  With the SSS Frames die, I cut a thin scalloped die around the main panel.  This was also heat embossed in rose gold before attaching it back around the inside section  and over a folded card to make a one layer card!

Thanks so much for visiting!  I hope you will head over the our blog to check out more inspiration form out talented Design Team.

Happy crafting

Helen

With Love Feathers

Hello and welcome

I’m back with a card for HLS Watercolour Challenge for February 2019 with an optional twist of METALLICS! However, anything  watercolour is just fine.

I have decided on a CAS card featuring this beautiful feather from Kaisercraft’s ‘ Feather’ Dies & Stamps set.  I must admit I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it instore.  Luckily, it was on a discount day and home it came.  However, I haven’t had a chance to play until now.

From a piece of watercolour paper, I cut a front panel using MFT Blueprints 26 set.

After gold heat embossing the feather, I used Gansai Tambi watercolours to loosely colour the image and add a few splatters.

Once the panel was adhered to the card front, I added a die cut sentiment from a local company which had been gold heat embossed twice (to give it more dimension).

So quick and easy but I was happy with the way it turned out!  I hope you like it too!

Please head over to our blog and check out the wonderfully inspirational work by the rest of the Design Team!  I hope you will find the time to join our challenge this month.  Good luck!
