WWC222 – Helen’s “All About Occasions” Challenge

Hello again and welcome to the new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday.  I am thrilled to be hosting this week’s “All About Occasions Challenge”.
Image may contain: text

My card uses one of my favourite Penny Black wood block stamps, ‘The Look of Love’.

Using Distress Ink to colour the image, I stamped it 3 times across a small piece of cardstock.  I smoothed the colour with water and a brush, before adding some  red ink splatters.

The bottom section features card embossed with EF – Tied Together from Couture Creations with clear Nuvo Drops on the intersecting points.

After embossing, the 2 sections were joined and added to the card with a  strip of card  coloured with the red Distress Ink to cover the join.

The sentiment  was  stamped using Brilliance Lightning Black.

I hope you will join our challenge this week.  Thanks so much for stopping by and please be sure to check out all the great cards designed by the rest of the wonderful  team on our blog.

Hope you have some crafting time this week

WWC221 – Tristan’s Masculine “Anything Goes” Challenge

P1070031Hello again and welcome to the new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday.  This week’s Masculine challenge – “Anything Goes” is hosted by Tristan.

Image may contain: one or more people and textThis week my card is a bit of fun!

The great cat is one of 2 from an old Daisy & Dandelion stamp set called Pumpkin & Aubergine!

After stamping the image on a white panel, it was coloured using Copics.

A piece of card embossed with Craft Concepts – Starry Night and attached to the a top folding card front before a circle was cut in the centre to allow the image to sit in the middle.  To add some interest, a piece of designer paper was cut in the scalloped circle and matching circle die to form a frame for the cat.

A matching DP star was attached in the corner to finish.

I hope you will join our challenge this week.  Thanks so much for stopping by and please be sure to check out all the great cards designed by the rest of the wonderful  team on our blog.

Hello and welcome

Today is the start of a new  Happy Little Stampers – Anything Goes with Dies Challenge! We would love to see what you have been creating with your dies!

My card features  is so different in that it doesn’t involve any stamping!

To begin, I used Winnie & Walter Leaf Effect Screenings stencil with Ranger Transparent Texture Paste  sprinkled with diamond glitter.

I then cut 3 Memory Box – Catalina Wreath die cuts.  The first was heat embossed twice with white embossing powder before the other 2 layers were glued on the back.

The birthday die was cut 6 times using Winnie & Walter – The Big, the Bold and Party Cutaways die.  Again the first was heat embossed with white diamond embossing powder then layered onto the other die cuts along with one cut from white fun foam.

Once the texture paste was dry, the panel was added to my card front, along with the other 2 dies.

I was really happy with the way it turned out.  I hope you like it too.

WWC220 – Kath’s “All About Occasions” Challenge

P1080177 (2)

Hello and welcome

This week at Watercooler Wednesday, it’s  Kath’s “All About Ossasions ” Challenge.

I hope you can find the time to join in.

Image may contain: textMy card was so much fun!

I started with a panel cut using CUTplorations – Wonky Rectangle Dies and coloured using Distress Oxide Inks. Then sprayed lightly with Shimmer Mist and flicked with water, white and silver paint. before being cut with Sissix Tim Holtz Thinlets Alterations Dies – Snowy Stars.

The panel was then backed with a scrap of shiny packaging, I thought perfect to add a bit more shine and interest.

On another piece of card I stamped the cow from AI  – Udderly Fantastic Set and watercoloured using Distress Inks, followed by Wink of Stella on the tutu and balloons before fussy cutting the image.

Then following the instructions from Jennifer McGuire https://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2019/04/floating-images.html

After organising the floating section, I added gold thread to the balloons and the cow’s horn.

Once it was added to the card front, I added a small ‘moon’ shape to the bottom and the sentiment from the same set.

Don’t forget to head over to our blog to check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our Design Team.

I look forward to seeing what you create this week!

Cheers

WWC219 – Heidi’s Feminine “Anything Goes” Challenge

Hello and welcome

This week at Watercooler Wednesday, it’s Heidi’s Feminine “Anything Goes” Challenge.

I hope you can find the time to join in.
Image may contain: one or more people, text that says "WWC219 Heidi's Feminine "Anything Goes" Challenge"Just for a change (and a challenge) I brought out my Prismacolor Pencils this week.

This pretty flower stem was stamped in Distress Ink and coloured with the pencils. I looked up the colours for fushias as a colour guide. This set is Technique Tuesday – Fushia.

I think it turned out ok.  Still more practice required I think.

Anyway, it was so pretty, I decided to keep the card CAS and let the flowers be the main focus. So I just used my Scoreboard to add some scored lines top and bottom.

The old looking typed sentiment if from Hero Arts – Hero Florals Rose  Stem.

Don’t forget to head over to our blog to check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our Design Team.

I look forward to seeing what you create this week!

Cheers

Helen

Hello and welcome

I’m back with a card for HLS Watercolour Challenge for May 2019 with an optional twist of HAPPY!  However, anything  watercolour is just fine.

It’s time for the new monthly challenge over at HLS Watercolour Challenge.

This month I have created a CAS card featuring a Kaisercraft stamp set – Always & Forever! When I found this set on sale in  a local store , I just couldn’t resist the beautiful rose bud!  So I finally pulled it out and was thrilled with how quickly and easily it came together.

After stamping in Antique Linen Distress Ink on a panel cut with CUTplorations Wonky Rectangle Dies, I watercoloured the rose using Distress Inks. (Candied Apple)

The sentiment is one of my old favourites again, There She Goes – Everyday Greetings!  I wasn’t sure what to add, but finally decided on something small and sentimental.

For a finishing touch, I added 3 small dew drops to the rose and leaves with small Glossy Accents drops.

I think this one would make a wonderful Happy  Mother’s Day card.  I know my mum would have love it.

Please head over to our blog and check out the wonderfully inspirational work by the rest of the Design Team!  I hope you will find the time to join our challenge this month.  Good luck!

Thanks so much for visiting. I really appreciate you taking the time.
Happy crafting
Helen
