Hello and welcome

My post tonight is a card I made using Art Impressions stamps.

It started with stamping the 3 main images from the Circlet Mini Tryfolds – Lighthouse Circlet after removing the borders. They were then water coloured with Distress Inks. I used some white acrylic paint to add some extra details to the ocean and the waves crashing up on the rocks.

The little boy comes from AI Little Boy Set, again stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with Distress inks. It was then fussy cut.

A circle border was cut using 2 Spellbinders Circle Dies from kraft card.

The border was added to the main panel, before being added to the card front along with the little boy.

The sentiment is from Penny Black – Heartfelt.

I could sit watching the waves like this little guy forever! What about you?

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

Have a great day

Cheers

Helen

I live in sunny Queensland, Australia with my husband and daughter. Since I was a child, I have always loved to create and have enjoyed all kinds of crafts, sewing and painting. China painting helped develop my understanding of colour and design. Over the last few years card making has taken up a major part of my crafting time as I love to play with new techniques and mediums. Since beginning my blog, entering various challenges has encouraged me to grow my skills and creativity.

  2. Fantastic design – I really like the little boy outside the scene as though watching and not part of the scene. I really like the shading and coloring. So glad you joined us at Die Cut Divas.
