My card today features a stamp by our sponsor STAMPlorations – the beautiful  Blossom Sprays.

After heat embossing in gold, I did some very soft, loose Distress Ink watercolouring. Then a little clear Wink of Stella was added to the flowers.

To enable the circle die cut, the bottom section of the bouquet was fussy cut.

Darkroom Door – Criss Cross Background Stamp was white heat embossed on the background, before being adhered to the card front.

The floral piece was then added with raised tape.

The sentiment from Altnew – Sophisticated Wreath was gold heat embossed and added to the bottom.

Please head over to the Time Out Blog to check out the wonderfully inspirational work by  the Design Team!

I look forward to seeing what you create!   Good luck!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

Hello and welcome

Today I’m thrilled to have been invited to be a Guest Designer over at the wonderful Time Out Challenges.  This challenge is kindly sponsored by STAMPlorations.

The theme this time is an Inspired by Words Challenge.  These special words are perfect for starting a new year.

Time Out Challenge 151.png1-1

My card features Penny Black Slapstick/ Cling stamp – Spontaneous Joy.  I did some no-line watercolouring  using Distress Inks Festive Berries and Gansai Tambi watercolours. To add a little sparkle, I used pearlized water for my colouring.

To finish I added some black Prismacolor  pencil in the centres and some gold and clear glitter pens for the dots in the centre.

The SSS Believe sentiment was heat embossed using Black Sparkle EP. It’s such a shame your can’t see the sparkle in the photos, as it is so pretty IRL.

I added some black and gold spatters to finish.

After trimming I added to a square card front and added 3 clear gems at the bottom.

I hope you will have time to participate in this great challenge!
Be sure to stop by the Time Out blog and see all the amazing design team creations!
I can’t wait to see what you create!

WWC252 – Marsha’s Special 3- Week “Anything Goes” Challenge

P1080442 (2)

Hello and welcome

Today it’s time for our last challenge for 2019 over at Watercooler Wednesday!  This week Marsha is our Special 3 – Week  “Anything Goes” Challenge.

No photo description available.

This week I had lots of fun making my last Christmas card for this year.

I had recently bought Paper Roses – Gnomies stamp set and had been wanting to use it!

After stamping and copic colouring the gnome was fussy cut.  I added some Wink of Stella to the fur on his hat and the pom pom.

I then started to create a background. First was the Distress Ink blending for the sky and adding some water droplets and white paint splatters.

Next, Memory Box Evergreen Trio was cut and had some heat embossed with Snow glitter embossing powder, along  with SSS Stitched Slopes and Hills.

All the pieces were then put together in the largest MFT Pierced Rectangle Dies.  These were double for added dimension.  The last 2 foreground trees were add with raised tape.

The sentiment – W Plus 9 – Santa’s Reindeer was heat embossed on the border.

Don’t forget to head over to our blog to check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our Design Team.

I look forward to seeing what you create over the next 3 weeks!

Stay safe and have a lovely Merry Christmas and a very happy and healthy 2020!!

Hello and welcome

I’m back with the new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday!  This week  Dawn is  hosting the “All About Occasions” Challenge.  So it should be easy for you to join in by sharing your Christmas creations!Image may contain: text

This week I used some of the images from Art Impressions – Tropical Christmas Stamp Set.  Just perfect as our temperatures here have been in the high 30’s C!

After stamping, they were watercoloured using Distress Ink and Tombow markers before being fussy cut.

I just had to add some sparkle with some Glitter Jelly Roll Pen and some Clear Nuvo Glitter Drops.

The Mama Elephant – Tri Window Cover – Creative Cuts frame was cut from white card. The backing was kraft card with some Distress Ink blending to make it look like the beach!

The frame was added with raised tape and the other elements added with a combination of raised tape and glue.

Don’t forget to head over to our blog to check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our Design Team.

Hello and welcome

Welcome back to a new challenge over at Happy Little Stampers –  Anything Goes with Dies – December.   Where has the year gone??? I hope you’ll find time in  your busy life to join in the fun this month!

My card this month features the beautiful Catalina Wreath from Memory Box. I started by die cutting it twice from white card along with two Memory Box- Little Candles and two SSS – Merry Christmas die.

After all the die cutting was completed, one of each was heat embossed using Wow – Sparkling Snow embossing powder to add some sparkle.

The second die cut was then added to the back of each.

On the card front, I used Snow stencil with Ranger Texture Paste and Elizabeth Craft’s Cool Diamond Microfine Glitter.

Once this was dry, it was a simple matter of adhering the die cuts to the card front.  I always love the look of white on white and of course a little sparkle and shine!

Time to head over to our blog to check out the great work by the rest of the Design Team!  Good luck with your entries and have a wonderful Christmas and a very safe, happy and healthy 2020!

Cheers

WWC250 – Helen’s Feminine “Anything Goes” Challenge

2019-02-02 04.30.06 (2)

Hello and welcome

Today it’s time for the next challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday!  This week I am hosting our Feminine “Anything Goes” Challenge.

Image may contain: one or more people and text

This week. I decided to take a break from Christmas cards and show a birthday card.

I love this image from Hero Arts Stamp & Cut DC243. After stamping, I made a mask for the cup and added some small flowers from Altnew’s Ditsy Print Stamp set to add some more detail and interest.  It was then watercoloured with Distress Inks before being fussy cut. Gold Wink of Stella was used on the handle and base of the cup.

The card front was covered in pale pink DP. The white die cut circle ( I think it was from MFT) was glued in the centre and the image added using raised tape.

The sentiment banner added with raised tape features one from  MFT Birthday Greetings set.

Don’t forget to head over to our blog to check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our Design Team.

I look forward to seeing what you create this week!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.
