Are you a lover of pink? I love to play with shades of pink when I colour, usually flowers.

This week, I decided to play with the AI Challenge – Shades of Pink, and made the decision not to use flowers! So here is my card!  Very “Girlie”!!! Also a great chance to play with 2 of my new goodies – a stencil and die!

To begin, I stencilled Studio Katia – Creative Stencil – Birthday Balloons using 3 different pink Distress Inks.

Next I cut the MFT Die-namics – Triple Window Peek-a-Boo Window & Edge so the stitched edge was on top.  The circles with the die was a bit small, so I substituted SSS Stitched Circles die.

The circles were then stamped with AI – Birthday Circlet MFT stamps (an oldie but a goodie) and watercoloured using the same Distress Inks, adding Wink of Stella and White Pen for added detail.

The sentiment is from Mama Elephant – Mimi Messages.

My simple CAS card features, KatzelKraft mini – 075, stamped in Distress Ink.

After covering with a mask, the SSS Mosaic Stars stencil background was added using Distress Inks.

The cool party animal was then watercoloured with Tombow markers, before adding black Faber Castell fine Pitt pen to add more detail.

A little Wink of Stella gave the glass a little fizz!!!

The sentiment is from a very old set from the cheap shop.

We have plenty of birthdays, so here’s to celebrating!!

Living here in Australia, and watching all the reports on the terrible bushfires sweeping across much for the country, I felt I’d like to make an Aussie inspired card this week.

Looking through my stamps, I found this cute little Koala  – an AI unmounted Stamp, I had received as a Freebie, but had never used!

I started by stamping it 3 times on water colour paper and did some no-line colouring using Tombow markers, before fussy cutting.

I cut a heart from a scrap of old DP and from some vellum.  These were added to the tall card front and the koalas were arranged to look as though they were resting on the shape.

After stamping, colouring and fussy cutting Pink Fresh Eucalyptus Fantasy leaves, they were added behind the koalas resting on the heart.

The CUTplorations  XOXO die was die cut 3 times and stacked with a black on top and attached to the heart.

The cute little MFT – Die-Namics – Tic Tac Toe dies gave me more ‘x’ and ‘o”s. I arranged them to look as though the koalas were throwing and catching them!  I hadn’t used these before, either.

The sentiment from Mama Elephant – Occasional Lables was added to finish the card.

Hello – (HLS Dies)

P1080460 (2)Hello and welcome

Happy 2020 to you and your family! Welcome back to a new challenge over at Happy Little Stampers –  Anything Goes with Dies – January.   I hope you’ll find time in  your busy life to join in the fun this month!

I had fun creating this card with no stamping!!!!  Only some easy die cuts and a little colouring!! What a change!!

To start, I die cut a heart from some scrap packaging to use as a stencil.  It was then overlayed by my new  brick wall stencil by Clarity Stencils.  It was then only a matter of layering some texture paste over the double stencil in the middle of a piece of card stock.

While it dried, I die cut the SSS Decorated Branch die colouring the branch black and the hearts red, followed by some clear Wink of Stella and then Glossy Accents.

After cutting the panel down and adding a fish tail to the bottom, it was time to layer the branch over the bricks and add the hearts.

Finally, a red check ribbon was added around the top with a small tag.  I couldn’t decide on a sentiment, so simply added the word ‘love’ to the tag.

It was amazing  how quickly it came together!

Time to head over to our blog to check out the great work by the rest of the Design Team!  Good luck with your entries and have a wonderful Christmas and a very safe, happy and healthy 2020!

Cheers

Helen

I really like how this card turned out!  Just a bit different and I hope the person I have in mind will enjoy it!

To begin, I cut the notice board from Hero Arts – My Monthly Kit – January 2019 –  1 with the fold and once with the fancy top.

Around the fancy front, I added 2 layers of Wink of Stella to give shine and interest, before  attaching it to the front panel.

I cut the centre board panel from black card and trimmed the bottom edge with my Friskers edge punch. The sentiment from  Hero Arts Florals Nasturtium Set was white heat embossed before the panel was glued to the front.

A circle of gold glitter card was then added on top.

To finish, I stamped and gold heat embossed Hero Arts – Floral Rose Stem, watercoloured with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolours and fussy cut.

Although it had many layers, it cam together rather quickly. It’s a shame the shine isn’t as clear in photos as IRL!

Happy Birthday (HLS Watercolour )

IMG_7882 (2)

Hello and welcome

I’m back with the first challenge for the new year over at  HLS Watercolour Challenge for January, 2020 with the optional twist of DIE CUTS!  However, anything  watercolour is just fine.

My CAS card uses a background made by smooching Distress Ink and die cutting with MFT Stitched Scallop Basic Edges die and was joined to a white panel cut with the negative of the die cut.

The cute little shopping bags were made from a scrap, created with Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powders and cut with MFT Gift Bags Dies.  The tops were coloured gold with WInk of Stella Gold Pen, before  being attached.

They  were then added to the card front along with the simple sentiment from MFT – Birthday Greetings using Brilliance Lightning Black Ink.

Please head over to our blog and check out the wonderfully inspirational work by the rest of the Design Team!  I hope you will find the time to join our challenge this month.

I look forward to seeing what you create!  Good luck!
