Hello and welcome

I’m back with a reminder for the current Penny Black Saturday Challenge! This month the theme is Anything Goes (optional Think Spring).  I hope you have the chance to join in the fun!

My card features no-line watercolouring of PB Magnolia Rhapsody using Distress Inks and my misti. When dry, I added a  little Inktense pencils for extra detail.

The panel was then given a stitched die cut edge.

CUTplorations ‘Birthday’ die was used to cut the word at the bottom of the panel along with 3 others in white. These were adhered together before being glued back into the flower panel.

This finished panel was then layered to kraft and green card stock before being added to the card front.

I seldom make any Easter cards, but love to use lots of flowers on my cards. Spring flowers make me happy and make life beautiful!

Please head over to our blog to  check out the wonderfully inspirational work by the rest of the Design Team!  I hope you will find the time to join our challenge this month.

I look forward to seeing what you create!  Good luck!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

Have a great week!

Cheers

Helen

I live in sunny Queensland, Australia with my husband and daughter. Since I was a child, I have always loved to create and have enjoyed all kinds of crafts, sewing and painting. China painting helped develop my understanding of colour and design. Over the last few years card making has taken up a major part of my crafting time as I love to play with new techniques and mediums. Since beginning my blog, entering various challenges has encouraged me to grow my skills and creativity.

  3. Just beautiful, Helen … your no-line colouring and inktense detailing is fantastic on this gorgeous blossom-y branch! I always love a camouflaged sentiment … and the font on this one is such a great contrast to the artsy image … lovely! Thanks so much for playing along with us at our 6th birthday celebration at Time Out! Good to hear you’re safe … stay well … hugs, Anita 🙂
