Bundle of Joy (HLS – Watercolour)

P1060365 (3)

I am thrilled to say that my card was chosen as a winner over at Double Trouble Paper Crafting Challenge – Something, Anything, Everything.

I Made Top 3 at Double Trouble

Hello and welcome

I’m back with another challenge over at  HLS Watercolour Challenge for April, 2020 with the fun  optional twist of STARS!  However, anything  watercolour is just fine.

My card was to celebrate the birth of a beautiful baby.

I started by stamping the image and masking it.  It is an old wood block stamp from local lady, I bought when I first started stamping. Still a favourite!!!

Distress Ink was blended over the background, leaving a pale yellow halo around it.

It was then flicked with water and white acrylic paint to make the starry sky.

After removing the mask, the image was coloured and the stars had Wink of Stella added to the stars.

The sentiment was from another old cheap shop set.

Please head over to our blog and check out the wonderfully inspirational work by the rest of the Design Team!  I hope you will find the time to join our challenge this month.

I look forward to seeing what you create!  Good luck!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

Stay safe and I hope you can have a good week!!!

Cheers

Helen

I live in sunny Queensland, Australia with my husband and daughter. Since I was a child, I have always loved to create and have enjoyed all kinds of crafts, sewing and painting. China painting helped develop my understanding of colour and design. Over the last few years card making has taken up a major part of my crafting time as I love to play with new techniques and mediums. Since beginning my blog, entering various challenges has encouraged me to grow my skills and creativity.
