I was thrilled to have my card selected in the Top 5 over at Papercraft Business Challenge for May – Friendship. Thanks so much!

3rd – Congratulations to Helen (#26) @ Moments of Crafting
My message to you Helen: Your card just screams friendship! Not only does your card look fantastic from a design point of view, but it also connects on an emotional level. You said in your post that you’ve been thinking how important your friends are to you & this card really shows just how much they really do mean to you. I don’t know about anyone else, but it really connected with me. Thanks for that. I love it!

Hello and welcome

Today it’s time for the next challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday!  This week  Tristan will be hosting the “Anything Goes with a Feminine Twist” Challenge.

I’ve been thinking about how important my friends are and decided to make this card!

I chose The Hop Hop Set (x2) and Laughing Stamp Sets.  After stamping and copic colouring just the top sections, they were fussy cut.  I used the same hair colouring so it looked like the same 2 friends on different occasions.

A background was made by ink blending Distress inks, spraying with Perfect Pearls water and laying on Hero Arts Swirl  stencil. It is very faint but you can just see it in parts!

Mama Elephant Tri Window Cover die and the words from Kaisercraft Decorative Polaroid were cut from black card.

The ‘Friends Forever’ sentiment from SSS- Big Hugs stamps was white heat embossed on the bottom of the die.

The friends images were attached to the cover die before being added to the coloured panel and then the card front.

The circular stamp from Kaisercraft – Friendship Sentiment was stamped and heat embossed  and then cut using MFT Circle die. Copic colour was added to the centre before adding it the card front.

The die cut words were then glued in place.

This really brought a smile as I remembered the fun times with wonderful friends.

I hope you can relate too.

Don’t forget to head over to our blog to check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our Design Team.

I look forward to seeing what you create this week!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

Stay safe in these difficult times and have a good day

Cheers

Helen

I live in sunny Queensland, Australia with my husband and daughter. Since I was a child, I have always loved to create and have enjoyed all kinds of crafts, sewing and painting. China painting helped develop my understanding of colour and design. Over the last few years card making has taken up a major part of my crafting time as I love to play with new techniques and mediums. Since beginning my blog, entering various challenges has encouraged me to grow my skills and creativity.
