Hello and welcome
Today it’s time for the next challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday! This week Kath is hosting the “All About Occasions” Challenge.
The other day I saw a post from the “Create A Smile” and looked at some of their fun products. As I don’t yet own any of their goodies, I used one of their freebies. It was also a good chance for me to play around with printing out and working with digi stamps. Something I don’t do often.
After printing this fun image, I watercoloured to make the drink look as though the different layers were slowly mixing together. I then added layers of Wink of Stella before fussy cutting. So difficult to see the shimmer but so pretty IRL!
The oval was due cut from black card and I added some small hand drawn hearts and dots and then gold embossed along with the edges.
The sentiment 9an old one from Verve stamps) was gold heat embossed inside a banner from Concord & 9th, also gold heat embossed. (With an extra on vellum)
The fun background DP with the gold pineapples came from a pad from Aldi! I thought it worked with this fun drink.
Don’t forget to head over to our blog to check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our Design Team.
I look forward to seeing what you create this week!
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit. I love to read your comments.
Stay safe in these difficult times and have a good day
Cheers
Helen

Shimmer is so hard to capture on camera, but I do love adding it to a card, it’s one of those little extras that make people go ‘how did they do that’ lol. We are so very clever lol. And we are allowed to have a ‘party’ of 10 outside as of Friday, yippee… still can’t go anywhere yet though haha

I love the different layers in the glass. And even though it’s hard to capture shimmer, I can imagine how wonderful that drink looks with shimmer. Great card. So glad you joined us at Die Cut Divas https://die-cut-divas.blogspot.com/2020/05/casual-fridays-with-challenge-to-make.html for our challenge of “It’s all about the Beverage”.
