The background was cut using SSS -Full Card Bubbles die and threaded with some wool before being added to the card front, covered with DP.

The speech bubble was cut using Sizzix Thought Bubbles die and stamped with the sentiment from the same stamp set.

The elements were then added around the speech bubble.

I look forward to seeing what you create this week!

It’s Your Special Day (Penny Black Saturday Challenge)

IMG_1113 (2)

Hello and welcome

I’m back with the new June Penny Black Saturday Challenge! This month the theme is Anything Goes (option ‘Spots and / or Stripes’ ).  I hope you have the chance to join in the fun!

This card features PB – Little Dainties stamp and watercoloured with  Distress Inks. They made me think of forget-me-nots, so I chose Blueprint Sketch ink for the flowers and green for the leaves.

I then used the same blue ink to add washes to the background along with some blue splatters.

The sentiment PB – Sprinkles and Smiles was also stamped using the Blueprint Sketch ink.

The panel was die cut using SSS -Frames and the outer scalloped edge washed with Blue to match.

DP  matching with the green on the card was added to the card front.

The panel was then added to the card front using fun foam.

I love working with stamps like this one as I find I can work with them more easily on any kind of project material with any medium, ink or embossing. ( Vellum, watercolour paper, clear acetate kraft card, fun foam and so much more.)

Please head over to our blog to  check out the wonderfully inspirational work by the rest of the Design Team!  I hope you will find the time to join our challenge this month.

I look forward to seeing what you create!  Good luck!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

Hello and welcome

Today it’s time for the next challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday!  This week  it is Marsha’s Challenge: Anything Goes with a Masculine Twist.

My fun card features an image from MFT – Warm & Feathered Hugs. This cute little guy was stamped, water coloured and fussy cut!

The letters are cut from white cardstock using MFT Die-namics – Wish die.

The sentiments are from MFT – Bitty Bears and Uniko – Big & Bold – Wish Stamp Sets.

The card front was covered in black card and the letters were arranged down the front replacing the ‘i’ with the owl.

The strip of kraft card fitted under the owl for him to perch on and made to look as though it balanced on the ‘s’ and ‘h’. (I hope it looked that way! LOL!)

A very CAS card for me!:)

This week’s card features Hero Arts stamps.

To start, Hero Florals  Rose Stem was randomly stamped on card in Distress Ink and added around the edges, before adding it to the card front.

It was then  silver heat embossed, watercoloured in the same colour and fussy cut.

2 Circles were cut from white card using SSS Stitched dies. The smallest was coloured with a cheap alcohol marker in the same colour and then the sentiment from the HA stamp set was white heat embossed.

On a strip of vellum, Hero Arts – Sunburst Bold Prints was silver heat embossed.

This strip was then added to the front.  The large circle was then added with raised tape, then the rose (raised tape again) and finally the small blue circle with a slither cut from the edge so it matches the card front.

I was so pleased with this card.  I just love the blue!

IMG_1091 (2)

Hello and welcome

It’s time for a new challenge over at Happy Little Stampers –  Anything Goes with Dies – June.   As always, anything goes in this challenge. So, I hope you’ll find time in  your busy life to join in the fun this month!

I thought it was time for a shaker card! They are so much fun!

To begin the bear from MFT Birthday Bears was stamped, coloured using watercolour pencils and fussy cut. He reminds me of a big cuddly dad!

The front panel was cut using MFT Blue Print Sketch 26. Then a balloon shape from SSS – balloons Dies.

2 other balloons were cut from vellum using the same set, before colouring them with Copic  markers. When dry, layers of Wink of Stella was added.

Raised tape was added to the back of the card front around the balloon shape ready for adding the sprinkles, before being added to the card front.

The sentiment was from the Birthday Bears set. Strips were cut using Paper Rose-Ribbons die was cut from white card and coloured with copics.  The sentiment was then stamped and white heat embossed one line at a time.

The bear was added to the card using raised tape and the sentiment strips added.

The vellum balloons were glued in place. I like the way they are semi-transparent just like real balloons!

Hello and welcome

I’m back with the new June Penny Black Saturday Challenge! This month the theme is Anything Goes (option ‘Spots and / or Stripes’ ).  I hope you have the chance to join in the fun!

My card features PB Rose Garden slapstick cling stamp. It was stamped in Brown ink and watercoloured with a mix of Distress Inks, Zig Brush markers and Tombow Pens. This allowed me to have different yellow, orange range roses.  Not my favourite colours to work with.

This was then fussy cut and a strip of ribbon added across the tub.

The background used MFT Jumbo Polka Dot stencil.

A strip of DP across the bottom was added along with the sentiment PB – Sprinkles and Smiles set gold heat embossed.

The flowers were then added using raised tape.

I hope my card brings you a smile.

This cute little mouse belongs to Stampendous – House Mouse – Celebrate Friends.

The image was stamped in brown ink and watercoloured using Distress Ink, adding gold from        for the chocolate wrapper.

IT’s difficult to see, but Glossy Accents was added to the chocolate to give it a more realistic chocolate look.

The panel was cut using Spellbinders Captivating Squares die.

Another cut from gold card was attached a little offset.

This was added to the card front along with layers of blue, gold and then blue check.

IMG_1070 (2)

Hello and welcome

I’m back with another challenge over at  HLS Watercolour Challenge for June, 2020 with the fun  optional twist of LAYERS!  However, anything  watercolour is just fine.

This month I have brought out some of my fun MFT stamp sets. This card uses MFT – In Paris stamp set.

The images were stamped, watercoloured with Distress Inks and fussy cut. Wink of Stella and Gelly Roll Glitter pen to the balloons.

The sky was watercoloured using some Perfect Pearls water for a little sparkle.

Then it was just a matter of layering the images to the long card front.

The sentiment is form MFT – Sweet Forest Friends, white heat embossed.

Lots of fun colouring the balloons! Too bad its not clear in the photos.
