WWC295 – Karen’s Challenge: All About Occasions

Hello and welcome

Today it’s time for the next challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday!  This week  Karen is hosting the Challenge: All About Occasions.

This week, I used a new stamp, I loved but hadn’t got around to using yet – Ton – Always Cherry Blossoms, which I watercoloured and fussy cut them.

SSS – Ring Frame die from gold card.

On blue card stock, I then arranged the flowers around the circles and adhered them using glue and raised tape.

The sentiment from PB – Heartfelt Thanks was gold heat embossed.

I just love the look of pink and gold when using dark blue as it really helps them to ‘pop’!

Don’t forget to head over to our blog to check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our Design Team.

I look forward to seeing what you create this week!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

WWC294 – Marsha’s Challenge: Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist

I was so excited to have my card chosen by the wonderfully creative Virginia Lu from Virginia’s Show & Share. Thanks so much Virginia. You have made my day!

I was also lucky enough to have my card chosen as a ShowCASed card by Less is More Challenge #430 CASed card. Thanks so much!

Hello and welcome

Today it’s time for our new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday! This week it is Marsha’s Challenge –Anything with a Masculine Twist.

I had fun playing with the CAS(E) sketch over at Less is More, using 3 Autumn orange, yellow and red.

To start, I stamped and watercoloured the little fox from The Cat’s Pajamas Clearly Swanky Stamp set. I added a little pencil and fussy cut him.

The next thing was to cut a maple leaf using Bo Bunny – Lovely Leaf Dies and smooch it with the same 3 Distress Inks.

While the leaf was drying, I sketched the funnel shape (I placed it vertically) and then inked Hero Arts – Leaf Prints maple leaf overlapping them and using first and second generation stamping, till I was happy with the way it looked. Again, I used the same 3 Distress Inks.

I stamped the sentiment from the same TCP set in brown ink, before popping up the leaf and fox using raised tape, to make it look as though he was flying down through the leaves, using the leaf like a parachute!

I loved the way this card turned out. I hope it brings you a smile.

Don’t forget to head over to our blog to check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our Design Team.

I look forward to seeing what you create this week!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

WWC293 – Tristan’s Challenge: All About Occasions

I would like to thank everyone over at Pammie’s Inky Pinkies Challenge for selection my card for an Honorable Mention.

Hello and welcome

Today it’s time for the next challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday!  This week  Tristan is hosting the Challenge: All About Occasions.

This week, I played with an old favourite – AI – Lighthouse Circle MTF.

I started by die cutting Kaisercraft – Polaroid die (small) 3 times from white card and 3 from black card.

On each white centre piece, I stamped one of 3 images from the stamp set.

Each was then Distress ink watercoloured, with a little white paint and pen addition.

The slimline background was cut using the Pink Fresh – Slim diagonal stitched rectangles using DP. A torn strip of natural card was glued across and then partially stamped randomly with Hero Arts – Friend background stamp and an old compass.

The sentiments are from Karisercraft – Life Sentiments set.

I look forward to seeing what you create this week!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

WWC292 – Dawn’s Challenge: Anything Goes With a Feminine Twist

Hello and welcome

Today it’s time for the next challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday!  This week  I am hosting the Challenge: Anything Goes with a Feminine Twist.

This week I used one of my original stamp sets from MFT – Let’s Celebrate. I started by stamping the image and cutting a circle around her to make a mask cutting out her legs and the top of the champagne glass. After stamping on the card front and removing the mask, I watercoloured using Distress Inks.

After cutting the large circle for the tag, I placed a circle mask and added the lady over the top to allow me to stencil, so that the circle mask is close to the bottom of the larger circle.

I then stenciled MFT – Geometric Stars in the background using Distress Ink, followed by MFT – Star Celebration stencil using Nuvo Glimmer Paste.

The sentiments are from MFT Martini’s on Me, and Let’s Celebrate.

The larger circle was die cut over a folded card to form the card. The black ribbon was tied across the top to allow it to be tied to a gift or bottle of bubble!

The card front was added to the folded card to finish.

I like the idea of a tag rather than the usual card.

I look forward to seeing what you create this week!

It’s your BIRTHDAY … (Penny Black Saturday Challenge)

Hello and welcome

I’m back with the new  Penny Black Saturday October Challenge! This month the theme is  Anything Goes (Optional – ‘Too cute to Spook!).  I hope you have a chance to join in the fun!

Penny Black Design Team

This card is a little different for me. as I didn’t colour the background to the scene. I hope you like it.

I chose the bright colours because they lend themselves to these fun little images. I love using them as I always think they make everyone who sees it happy! Hopefully a smile as well with this one!

To begin, the images from PB- Paint the Town set were stamped and Distress watercoloured.

The real need for patience came with stamping the sentiment, from the same stamp set. Using masking, I stamped the black, then the multicoloured ‘birthday’ and lastly, the word color one colour at a time. To finish, I restamped with Versamark and clear embossing powder to make it ‘pop’ more.

The panel was then cut using MFT – Stitched Scallop Basic Edges, before adding to a panel cut with SSS – Stitched Whirl Background die and then the card front.

I hope my card brings you a smile! 🙂

Please head over to our blog to  check out the wonderfully inspirational work by the rest of the Design Team!  I hope you will find the time to join our challenge this month.

I look forward to seeing what you create!  Good luck!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

Have a great week!

Papercrafting Business Challenge – Interactive

Hello and welcome

I am thrilled to join the talented group over at Papercrafting Business Challenge.

This month the new Challenge over at Papercrafting Business is Interactive! So many wonderful ways to join in this one.

For my card I decided to play with Lawn Fawn stamps and dies.

I started by cutting the camera die from white card and a strip of leaf DP.

As I only own the camera die and not the pull up add on, I made my own. It didn’t work out too badly, but would have been easier with it! 🙂

I then cut 6 white circles and then cut a smaller circle in the centre to give me the camera lens. I glued then together with an acertate circle at the top and then black ring as the last 2. Some glitter and leaves were added inside and then a DP circle sealed the back.

Little critters from the – Really High Five set, were stamped, copic coloured and fussy cut.

I cut the LF – Meadow Border from some DP and coloured over the pattern with copics, before adding along the bottom of the camera.

It was then just a matter of adding all the pieces with glue and raised dots to make a little scene.

From another piece of card, I cut Kaisercraft photo frame die, stamped the little mouse from LF Dandy Day, coloured the background, and glued the pieces back in place. I added a wider piece of card to bottom as a stopper.

On the back I formed a small tunnel at the top of the camera, for the frame to pass through with raised tape.

It was then added to the card front along with a sentiment from LF – Chit Chat set.

Thanks so much for visiting and I look forward to seeing what you create for the challenge.
