WWC302 – Marsha’s Special 3-Week Challenge – Anything Goes

Hello and welcome

Today it’s time for the last challenge for 2020 over at Watercooler Wednesday!  As this is such a busy time of year, Marsha is hosting a 3 week Challenge: Anything Goes!

Image may contain: text that says ""Anything Goes" WWC302 Marsha's Special 3-Week Challenge"

My card this week features Newton’s Nook – Christmas Kittens stamp. It was stamped, water coloured using Distress Inks and fussy cut.

The slime line card had a strip with the ‘Merery Christmas’ from the set, stamped down a strip of card in Memento inks in red and green. I used my Misti to keep the spacing even.

A middle sized star was die cut using MFT Star STAX dies on the card front and in a piece of fun foam, which was glued to the back.

A piece of DP was added behind the star.

A smaller star was cut from different DP and attached with raised tape along with the kitten image.

Some red string was added around the bottom of the panel, before the panel was added to the card front.

This is a new set for me and my first NN stamp. It is soo cute!

Don’t forget to head over to our blog to check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our Design Team. Remember that this challenge will last for 3 weeks and you can share anything you create during this time.

Hopefully, you may have time for some crafting over the holiday period.

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

Stay safe in these difficult times and I hope you enjoy a lovely Christmas season wherever you are. Hopefully, 2021 will be a better year for everyone.

Cheers

Inky Paws Challenge #138

Friends are Angels without wings…

Hello and welcome

When I saw the challenge over at Time Out, I decided I had to play.

This is a quick card. I started with a scrap of card with a smooched background with pale blues and aquas with a beautiful shimmer. Sadly, it looks rather grey in the photos. 😦

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is img_1784-2.jpg

I then added the 2 sentiments form Kaisercaft – Friendship Sentiments heat embossed in Turquoise embossing powder. (I decided to make it about Friends, as I feel so very lucky to have wonderful friends who are always there when they’re needed.)

Next, I added the die cut friends from an aqua glitter paper using Winnei & Walter – The Big, the Bold an Friends Cutaways.

It was then just a matter of adding the wings, covered in cleat Wink of Stella for some sparkle. They come from The Cat’s Pajamas. It was a wonderful thank you gift from the super people over at TCP! Thanks! I love it!!

Thanks so much for visiting.

Please take care and I hope you have a lovely Christmas wherever you are, and that 2012 is a Happy and Healthy one!

WWC301 – Dawn’s Challenge: All About Occasions

Thanks so much to team over at Modsquad Challenge for selecting my card in the Top 3 Winners. I really appreciate it.

Helen with this fabulous card. I think her design is just spectacular.

Hello and welcome

Today it’s time for the next challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday!  This week Dawn is hosting the Challenge: All About Occasions.

Today’s card uses a very old Hero Arts rubber stamp set. It has 2 stamps a negative and a positive image. I’ve always loved it and the slightly shabby look. Sadly, I don’t know it’s name. 😦

I white heat embossed and then trimmed them so they fitted side by side. I love the crisp look on the tangerine card stock.

The sentiment is also HA – Thanks stamp and die set. It was also heat embossed and the thanks fussy cut.

I hope you liked this one. Very easy and quick to make!

Don’t forget to head over to our blog to check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our Design Team.

I look forward to seeing what you create this week!

Pretty Perch (Penny Black Saturday Challenge)

Hello and welcome

I’m back with the new  Penny Black Saturday December Challenge! This month the theme is  Anything Goes (Optional – ‘Winter Wonderland!).  I hope you have a chance to join in the fun!

Penny Black Design Team

Winter here in Brisbane Australia is very mild compared to many places and we certainly never see snow! I always loved looking at the snowy scenes (especially on the old Christmas cards!) So right now while we’re in the middle of a heat wave, it was fun to make a snowy scene! )Not sure I feel any cooler!!!

I used the PB Pretty Perch stamp. I have played with this stamp a few times since I bought it about 4 years ago, but this is the first one to be published! 🙂

After adding colour to the stamp and lightly misting it with water, it was stamped on watercolour card.

More colour was added to finish the scene. I’m afraid flowers and pots are more my forte than birds! 😦

Texture paste was then added to the areas where snow would have settled and sprinkled with Cool Diamond Glitter. I love all the sparkle on this card.

Thanks so much for visiting.

Please head over to our blog to  check out the wonderfully inspirational work by the rest of the Design Team!

I look forward to seeing what you create!  Good luck!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

Have a great week!

WWC300 – Tristan’s Challenge: Anything Feminine Goes

Hello and welcome

Today it’s time for the next challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday!  This week  Michelle is hosting the Challenge: Anything Goes with a Feminine Twist.

I love the background on this card. So soft and shimmery.

It was made by putting washes of watercolour on watercolour paper and while still wet and spray with shimmer, sprinkle with salt and allow to dry.

A narrow panel was added to the front of the card.

I cut some MFT Snowflakes from some foiled packaging and white shiny paper to cut various shapes.

These were glued to the card front.

The sentiment was from on old Verve stamp set – Glad Tidings stamped in Brilliance – Starlite Black to continue the shimmer and shine.

Don’t forget to head over to our blog to check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our Design Team.

I look forward to seeing what you create this week!

Happy Pawlidays Tag- Papercraft Business Challenge

Hello and welcome

I’m back for  Papercraft Business challenge! My fellow DT’s and I are excited to inspire you with the challenge this month —Anything Goes!!

This month, I decided to make a set of Christmas tags featuring MFT – Happy Pawlidays. The images are so sweet!

Each image was watercoloured with Distress Inks and then fussy cut.

They were added to tags covered in gingham DP with a border along the bottom and strip sentiments. The inspiration came from the MFT Tags Blog Hop featuring a tag by Francine Vuilleme’s 1001 Cartes Blog on November 26.

I used scraps of various DP and and trims.

I hope these tags inspire you and I hope to see you over at the Papercraft Business Challenge blog. I can hardly wait to see what you create! You just might win this super adorable Magnolia Designs – Tilda with Little Rudolf.

If you enjoy joining challenges, Papercraft Business has created a special planner to help you keep track of your challenges and to help you not miss out on important dates. You can check out the planner here.

Take care

Cheers
