Make a Wish

Hello and welcome

Today I’m sharing a birthday card featuring Uniko products.

After stamping Uniko Spring Botanicals Snowdrop on some grey / green card, I decided to play with my Prismacolour pencils. I haven’t used them in a while.

I white heat embossed sentiments from MFT Celebrate with Cake set sentiments.

Then the Uniko – Big and Bold Wish was used for the eclipse technique, layering it on white card for extra definition.

I still have a way to go with my pencil colouring, but on the way!! 🙂

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

Stay safe and have a good day

Cheers

Helen

Best Wishes

Hello and welcome

Today’s project features Hero Arts products I’ve had in my stash for years.

HA Konnichiwa Lantern images were gold heat embossed and fussy cut.

Two panels of red cardstock were cut and glued together to make a piece 35cm long, scored and folded to make the front and back 12.5 cm wide.

This was randomly stamped with the lanterns using VersMark Ink.

A black circle was die cut and splattered with gold ink, along with the piece on the back panel to hold the gift card. The medallion image from the stamp set was heat embossed and added to the front. (So Lucky to have a Friend like You)

The centre panel had the PB – Special Thoughts Sentiment was gold heat embossed.

The front circle was added and the lanterns added with raised tape along with the ‘best wishes’ sentiment from the stamp set.

The card holder panel was added to the back and strips of gold and black card was added at each end for interest.

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

Stay safe in these difficult times and have a good day

Cheers

Helen

From now on our challenges will run for 2 weeks. That means today’s challenge closes on the 8th of March. So lots more time to join the fun!!

Marsha is the hostess for today’s Watercooler Wednesday Challenge: All About Occasions.

May be an image of text that says "SIONS Everything We Celebrate! My card features an old wood block stamp ‘Bailey…Hearts Desire” from The Boyds Collection. It was one of my early stamps. I loved all the fun bear images they had.

It was stamped, watercoloured using Tombow markers and fussy cut. Watercolouring is my favourite go for colouring.

The DP was die cut with an old Stampin’ Up punch.

The sentiment in also from an old Stampin’ Up set.

Don’t forget to head over to our blog to check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our Design Team.

I look forward to seeing what you create this week!

WWC308 – Tristan’s Challenge: All About Occasions

Hello and welcome

Today it’s time for the next challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday!  This week Tristan is hosting the Challenge: All About Occasions.

May be an image of text that says "SIONS Everything We Celebrate! I was so pleased with the way this CAS card turned out!!

To start, I cut MFT – Photo Booth Strip Die from some scrap card to use as a stencil. I used brown Distress Inks to ink blend the 3 panels ombre style.

After stamping the image (minus the mouse) Docrafts – Hot Diggity Dog stamp set was copic coloured and fussy cut.

I used a heart stencil to add the small hearts and added White pen highlights.

The Sentiment is from Pink Fresh -Floral Frame stamp set.

Finally, the chocolates were added with raised tape.

I hope you liked it too!

We’re back with the new challenge over at Happy Little Stampers –  Anything Goes with Dies – February.   As always, anything goes in this challenge. So, I hope you’ll find time in  your busy life to join in the fun this month!

I decided on a CAS card this month. Unusual for me!

I started by making some brown card stock smooching the card with Distress Inks mixed with Perfect Pearls water, and spraying with Tsukineko Walnut spray. IRL it looks really rich brown with a little sparkle.

Once dry, the heart was die cut and then the section die cut using a TIm Holtz Sizzix Alterations die.

The sentiment from TCP was cut from light cream card.

The die cuts were then added to the square card front. This is another soft, shiny cream colour. It is easy to see the difference between the sentiment and background.

Time to head over to our blog to check out the great work by the rest of the Design Team!

I look forward to seeing what you create this month!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

I thought this sweet little image was perfect to have the envelope cut from DP.

The Postage Stamp die was cut in white and the floral panel was added with raised tape, before adding it to a slimline kraft panel.

The white PB ‘Just for You’ Die cut was glued at the top .

The panel was then add to white and then a DP panel before being added to the card front.

I loved the orange paper as I felt it gave a great pop of colour to this small image.

Happy Birthday ( HLS -Watercolour)

Hello and welcome

Today I’m back with HLS Watercolour Challenge for February, 2021. This year it’s Anything Goes so long as it features watercolour.

I started by watercolouring this flower bouquet from HA Make It Personal Stamp Set – Togetherness Flower Bouquet. It was then fussy cut and Wink of Stella gave it sparkle.

I used smooching and spraying on a piece of card using Cosmic Shimmer and Distress Inks to create a soft background with yellows, pinks and touches of gold. It is lovely and sparkly IRL!

Once this panel was dry, I diecut a large heart using XCut Hearts Nesting Dies, and one from vellum.

The card front then had Sizzix Time Holtz Alterations 4 Dies cut in one corner. This was then added to the coloured card and then the card front. The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped along the bottom.

The 2 hearts were layered with the vellum at the back, before adding it the the card front.

To finish the bouquet was added using raised tape.

Please head over to our blog and check out the wonderfully inspirational work by the rest of the Design Team!  I hope you will find the time to join our challenge this month.

I look forward to seeing what you create!  Good luck!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.
