WWC315 – Marsha’s Challenge: All Things Feminine

Hello and welcome

Today I’m back with a new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday. Marsha is the hostess for today’s Watercooler Wednesday Challenge: All Things Feminine.

May be an image of one or more people and text that says "WWC315 Marsha's Challenge: All Things Feminine"

Today I decided to play with HA Decorate A Cake stamp set! I think the idea of a Unicorn cake is so much fun!!!

I started by lightly stamping the background stamp HA Friend on a card panel, then light ink stenciling using HA Swirl Stencil and finally spraying wtih Glimmer Mist – Bubbles. It was then left to dry, before adding to the card front.

After stamping out the Cake images, they were copic coloured and fussy cut! ( I don’t own the dies!!:( ) Each item was also covered with Wink of Stella.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is img_2403-2.jpg

It was then a matter of arranging the decorations on the cake and then adding it to the card front, using raised tape and glue!

I used scraps of glitter card from some old packaging for the thin layer between the image and stencil background.

The sentiment is also from HA. Last was adding the sequins.

I loved how this one turned out! A very special birthday card!!

Of course, lots of Wink of Stella to the flowers and cake decorations!! So pretty IRL!!

Don’t forget to head over to our blog to check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our Design Team.

I look forward to seeing what you create this week!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

Stay safe and have a good day

Cheers

Helen

I live in sunny Queensland, Australia with my husband and daughter. Since I was a child, I have always loved to create and have enjoyed all kinds of crafts, sewing and painting. China painting helped develop my understanding of colour and design. Over the last few years card making has taken up a major part of my crafting time as I love to play with new techniques and mediums. Since beginning my blog, entering various challenges has encouraged me to grow my skills and creativity.
