When I saw the new challenge over at AAA Cards to use a 1 inch strip, I thought it would be fun to play along. I can always use another Birthday card.
I decided to use one of my favourite stamps – Altnew – Persian Motifs. So elegant!
After sketching out the strip and masking the images were stamped in Distress Inks – Blueprint Sketch. The same ink was used to watercolour the images. I love this colour as you can vary the colour tone so easily. (I can’t wait to use the new PRize Ribbon Distress ink which has just arrived!)
To add a little extra I went around some of the outlines with my Jelly Roll pen. I love the little sparkle it gives. So difficult to photograph! 😦
Don’t forget to head over to our blog to check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our Design Team.
I look forward to seeing what you create for this challenge!
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit. I love to read your comments.
Just for fun, I pulled out my Lawn Fawn – Magic Picture Slider dies and the Changer add- on. I bought these a while ago, but still hadn’t used them, so I decided today was the perfect situation. Now I’ve discovered it’s sooo easy, I’ll certainly be making more!!
Next I used one of my old favourite PB stamp sets – Paint the Town. It is a super fun set I’ve used lots, but this particular image has remained pristine until now.
This die set is so easy to use. I watched the LF YouTube video showing how to put it together.
I stamped and copic coloured the crazy painter cat and the pull up sentiment and second cat and then cut out the slider card. I also stamped the bottom section of the sentiment onto the front Add-on frame.
I also stamped and coloured the other 2 little images and fussy cut them.
Once my slider card construction was finished, I stamped MFT Watercolour striped background stamp in black.
The slider section was added to the card front and then the little images were added with foam tape.
I hope my card bring you a smile!!

When I saw the August Challenge over at Waffle Flower, I decided it would be fun to enter!
I have recently purchased this stunning Waffle Flower – Crocus stamp set and was keen to use it. It has become one of my favourite stamps of the moment!
After stamping, I did some no line colouring with copics and then added some Prismacolor pencils to add extra details. It was then fussy cut.
The pot was stamped again on a piece of a coffee box . I just love the colour of the kraft card inside the pack. I then added some copic shading for dimension. After fussy cutting it, I added some yellow and white twine around it.
The front of the card features layers. starting with a base of a scrap of green card, then some purple card and finally a scrap of corrugated card over a small doiley. The corrugated card was added using stamples.
After the flowers were added to the pot, the image was added onto the card front with raised tape. The sentiment from the set was added with washi tape. Another piece was added at the bottom.
Finally, the single flower was added.
It was fun using lots of household items on this card.

I would like to thank Uniko for selecting my card as a winner in their challenge #66 Flowers.
Hello and welcome back
Today’s I decided to play along with AAA cards Challenge – using 2 quarters to create a CAS card. I don’t make many CAS cards so thought it was a good chance to make something different and test my design ideas.
I divided the card front into quarters and used Uniko – Floral Vines Clear Stamp Set to go diagonally across each quarter. The images were watercoloured with Distress Inks using some of my favourite colours.
After erasing the pencil lines and masking off the triangles, I used theTim Holtz – Mini Collection Stencil 11 – Stripes to fill in using the same pink Distress ink.
The senitments are from the same set, stamped in Brilliance -Lightning Black ink. I added a little Gelly Roll to go over the little spots and add a few more.
I was really happy with the way it turned out. I really wasn’t sure as I planning it. 🙂

For this card I used 3 panels of card to emboss using MFT – Wavy Coloring Book Background. One in whihte on black card, one in black on white card and a white on kraft. (I love this kaft colour which is really a coffee sachet box!! 🙂 ) I like the tone of it better than lots of the bought cardstock.
The panels were then cut using MFT – Die-namic Hexagons.
These hexagonals were then arranged on a white card front, some using raised tape and others glued flat for interet.
This was then added to the card front with a black edge.
The sentiment is from MFT – All Smiles stamp set.
Finally, I added a few black gloss Nuvo Drops.

I want to say a huge thank you to SSS Monday Challenge for selecting my card for a Designer Spotlight award!! I was surprised and thrilled!!
[…] #95 Helen F – Moments of Crafting Emma says: I just love everything about this elegant card. The white embossing really pops against the beautiful blues and greens of the background, and I love the sentiment which completes the whole piece so perfectly ~ it’s wonderful! […]
Hello and welcome
On this card I heat embossed the MFT – Wavy Coloring Book Background stamp in white.
I then smooched the a mix of blues and green Distress inks sprayed with Pearlised water to give it a shine. I also used a little watered down white paint. Each layer was heat dried before adding more colour till I was happy with the result. It’s amazing the variety of colour you achieve this way.
The sentiment is MFT – Celebrations dies (4 layers) and Mama Elephant layered over a vellum semi-circle.
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit. I love to read your comments and will be sure to check out your blog.
This time I used MFT – Leafy Greenery dies to cut leaf shapes from vellum and various pieces of cardstock I had smooched with inks and gold paint.
The circle was cut from glitter cardstock using 2 MFT Circle dies.
The sentiment strip was cut using MFT – Blueprint Sketch 25 and the sentiement from MFT – Birthday Greetings.
After covering my card front with vellum, I attached the circle. It was then just a matter of attaching the arranged leaves. I covered the join of the 2 bunches with a heart cut with a punch.
I loved the way this one turned out with a soft delicate look. A great way to finish my entries into the MFT Camp Create.
