Hello and welcome

Tonight I’m sharing a card I made featuring MFT- Party Like a Pirate stamp set.

I started by stamping the images, copic colouring and fussy cutting them. They were then outlined in black ink.

On the background for the card, I watercolured a beach and ocean scene using Distress inks and white acrylic paint, adding some greenery on the beach with copics.

The card base was then folded to form the card and the sentiment from the set stamped on the top.

The images were then glued in place.

Such a fun stamp set.

Sweet Birthday Wishes

Hello and welcome

My second card I decided to make an Shadow Box Card, featuring MFT – Sweet Shop stamp set. Such super cute images.

The images were stamped and copic coloured before being fussy cut.

The background was created using MFT Checkerboard stencil for the walls, MFT Woodgrain for the floor and MFT – Pinstripe for the floor rug.

The banners were an old die from MFT and the balloons are from MFT- all copic coloured.

The sentiment is from MFT – Sweet BD Wishes.

Here is a photo I took prior to adding the frame on the front to show how the little kitchen scene looks without the shadows from the front and banner.

Today it’s time for our new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday! This week Tristan is hosting the Challenge –Anything with a Masculine Twist.

My card features the super fun images from MFT Birth-Yah! stamp set. These were stamped, copic coloured and fussy cut.

The sentiment was white heat embossed on the back card panel before it was added to the card front.

The letters from MFT – Smile Die were cut in white and added to the black card front along with the biggest image for the ‘i’.

The smaller images were then arranged around the letters.

Such a fun card to make. I hope you like it.

This is a reminder of the September challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge!  The theme  is Anything Goes (Optional – ‘Embossing Wet or Dry‘).  There is still plenty of time to join the fun!

This time I decided to use Dry Embossing featuring Couture Creations – Hearts Ease Frame embossing folder. Sadly, I’ve had this one for years but never used it, but I thought it would be perfect for this card.

I pulled out another old wood mounted stamp I haven’t used for years, but always loved. PB – Haven’t Heard Peep! So sweet! After stamping I watercolured using Distress Inks and trimmed to panel down to a smaller rectagle.

On a smaller rectangle that fitted inside the EF frame, I stamped the sentiemtn from PB – Special Thoughts set.

Each rectangle had blue ink around the edges before adding them to the frame with raised tape.

I hope my card bring you a smile!!

Hello and welcome

Today I have a fun card to share featuring AI – Wine Tasters Stamp Set.

After stamping the image and copic colouring, it was fussy cut leaving the floor at the bottom.

The Paper Rose – The Best Wines stamp was gold heat embossed on a vellum strip.

The Winnie & Walter – Cheers die was cut from gold glitter card and layered on 3 other white die cuts for dimension.

The sentiment from the AI set was stamped at the bottom of the front panel and then the vellum was attached with the ‘cheers’ die cut at the top and a small piece of tape at the bottom. The image was then attached with raised tape.

I love everything I used on this card. Super fun for a friend.

With Love (HLS – Dies)

We’re back with the new challenge over at Happy Little Stampers –  Anything Goes with Dies – September .   As always, anything goes in this challenge. So, I hope you’ll find time in  your busy life to join in the fun this month!

I used a piece of card I had roughly painted with stripes using acrylic paints which has a shine to it. So diffiecult to photograph, but so pretty IRL!

After attaching a panel to a square card front, it was then a time to add Memory Box – Delightful Peony in black.

A strip of black patterned washi tape was added at the side. The pretty thing is that the leaf pattern on the washi is clear, so it picked up the colours from the panel underneath.

Last, the ‘with love’ was added. It is from an Australian company.

Hello and welcome

Today I’m back with a new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday. Kath is the hostess for this fortnight’s Watercooler Wednesday Challenge: All About Occasions.

My card features a stamp from the Australian Company – Paper Rose – Snugglepot & Cuddlepie Little Things Stamp Set. (Snugglepot and Cuddlepie are characters from a well known Australian story written and illustrated by May Gibbs, first published in 1917.) The illustrations are wonderful featuring the Australian bush!

I started by stamping the image and watercolouring in Distress Inks. The panel was trimmed down to fit on the kraft cardstock Postage Stamp Frame die from Simply Dies (from an Australina company Catchy Crafts), using raised tape.

This was layered up on a green card and then onto the ochre card front.

A stitched circle using Mama Elephant – Pizazz Pieces die set was stamped with a Kaisercraft stamp.

This was then layered up on gum leaves die cuts by Paper Rose and watercoloured in the sage greens of the Aussie bush. The gumnuts were added to the sentiment circle.

Finally, the sentiment is from PB – Heartfelt Thanks stamp set.

I hope you like my card. A friend asked me to make a birthday card for her daughter over in London as she hasn’t been able to come home for so long. I hope it reminded her of Australia.

My card features one of my very first stamps and one that has been used for many special occasions over the years. PB- VIctorian Love woodblock stamp.

After silver heat embossing the stamp on some vellum, I coloured the images with Distress Ink watercolouring. As the sections are so very small, I coloured it on the front using the embossing as a well for the ink rather than the back which is usual for a larger, more open image.

After trimming the panel it was layered on white card so help the images show up. It was then added to a navy card base.

The sentiment is from PB – Sprinkles and Smiles stamp set and silver embossed. I selected this sentiment as I haven’t yet decided what occasion to use it for.

Today I’m back with HLS Watercolour Challenge for September, 2021. This year it’s Anything Goes so long as it features watercolour. So easy to join in!

My card features Altnew – Springtime Azalea stamp set.

I am comparing my card with the photo taken of my azalea bush at home. I chose to focus on the middle cluster of flowers.

I started by stamping flowers and leaves, watercolouring them with Distress Inks. Before fussy cutting, I stamped the stamens, their tips and some fo the spots on the petals.

A panel was embossed with Altnew – Beautiful Berenia 3D Embossing Folder.

The flowers and leaves were then arranged on the card front using a mix of tape, glue and raised tape to get some variation in height.

The sentiment is Altnew – Fancy Hello Die.
