WWC333 – Dawn’s Challenge: All About Occasions

Hello and welcome

Today I’m back with a new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday. Dawn is host for this fortnight’s Watercooler Wednesday Challenge: All About Occasions.

Today’s card uses this beautiful butterfly – Transformation from The Ton.

After stamping and heat embossing, I used Prize Ribbon Distress Ink to watercolour, as well as a little light grey on the leaves. White signo pen was added to the flower centres.

I decided to watercolour this beauty with Distress ink. As much as I love pencils and copics, watercolouring remains my favourite medium. I never get tired of seeing the wonderful layers and softness you can achieve as the image/s come to life. Using a heat embossed image makes it even easier.

The sentiment is from Kaisercraft again heat embossed.

A piece of card for background had Prize Ribbon inked around the edges before being added to the card front.

Don’t forget to head over to our blog to check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our Design Team.

I look forward to seeing what you create this challenge!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

Stay safe in these difficult times and have a good day

Cheers

Helen

This time I decided to make a quick and easy bookmark. Perfect for a little gift any time of year!

I started by stamping PB – Good Neighbours stamp set and Distress ink watercoloured the image in bright happy colours.

MFT – Stitched Basic Edges Die was used to cut a stitched edge to the panel.

The sentiment is from There She Goes – Everyday Greetings stamp set.

Paper Smooches – gingham stamp was stamped in black on a scrap of white card and glued to the bottom of the card front. A piece of black and white gingham ribbon was attached to the top of the panel.

The panel was added to the card front using craft foam for dimension.

Happy Birthday! have a Splashing Day!(HLS – Dies)

Hello and welcome

We’re back with the first challenge for 2022 over at Happy Little Stampers –  Anything Goes with Dies – January .   As always, anything goes in this challenge. So, I hope you’ll find time in  your busy life to join in the fun this month!

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is 8ff64-hls2bag2bbadge.png

I had lots of fun playing with these new to me images from Hero Arts – .Sea You stamp set.

I started by cutting 2 circles using Spellbinders Circles dies from a panel and then drew these same circles on the back panel. This gave me the positions to stamp the fish and coral as well as some small circles from SSS – Lots of dots stamp set, for bubbles.

The images were then Distress Ink watercoloured and the pencil lines then removed.

The die cut front had some raised paste added through the circle stencil.

A light blue hair gel was added inside a small self seal bag that was then nd wrapped in tape to ensure no leakage.

This was then attached behind the circle die cut panel.

Another die cut circle had the sentiments stamped – SSS – Circle Sayings set and Elizabeth Crafts – Ahoy sentiments set.

Time to head over to our blog to check out the great work by the rest of the Design Team!

I look forward to seeing what you create this month!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

Have a good day, stay safe and wishing you a very Happy New Year!

Cheers

Hello and welcome

I’m back for the first new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday for 2022. Here’s to a good year ahead. Tristan is our hostess for today’s Watercooler Wednesday Challenge: All Things Feminine.

May be an image of 3 people, people standing and text that says "WWC332- Tristan's Challenge: All Things Feminine"

My birthday card features Stampingbella – Uptown Girl Maybelline loves Mail stamp set copic coloured. I loved the way this one turned out as it is the first time I have used this sweet set.

The panel was then cut using Spellbinders – Captivating Squares Nestability dies.

This was added to the card front covered in DP.

The sentiment banner finishes the card.

Today’s card features PB – Vase Garden stamp, something new for me. I loved the simple look of this floral arrangement.

I decided it was perfect for no-line colouring. After stamping I used Distress Inks to watercolour the image.

The panel was then cut using a frame die.

The sentiment is from PB – Special Thoughts stamp set.

Be filled with JOY (HLS – Watercolour)

Hello and welcome

Wow!! Here we are on the first day of 2022! I truly hope this year will be a good one for everyone. Being the 1st means it is the time for the first HLS Watercolour Challenge for January, 2021. This year it’s Anything Goes so long as it features watercolour. So easy to join in!

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is 6e20e-hls2bxmas2btemplate.png

I have started by creating an easy watercolour floral card.

To begin I white heat embossed Altnew – Paint-a-Flower: Paeonia Japonica on a piece of watercolour card. (A stamp I love but haven’t always been happy with the outcome.)

It was then only a matter of doing very loose wet on wet watercolouring using Distress Inks to colour the image. Finally, I was much happier with the outcome.

The sentiment is from the same set.

Please head over to our blog and check out the wonderfully inspirational work by the rest of the Design Team!  I hope you will find the time to join our challenge this month.

I look forward to seeing what you create!  Good luck!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

Stay safe
