A special note… (HLS – Dies)

I was thrilled to have my card selected in the Top 5 over at Allsorts Challenge. Thanks so much. I love playing along with their fun challenges.

In our Top 5 ?

I’d also like to thank everyone over at Pammie’s Inky Pinky Challenge for selecting my card for an Honorable Mention. So exciting!

Hello and welcome

We’re back with a new challenge over at Happy Little Stampers –  Anything Goes with Dies – February .   As always, anything goes in this challenge. So, I hope you’ll find time in  your busy life to join in the fun this month!

I had lots of fun with HA – Bouquet Fancy and Curiosity Silhouette Fancy Dies. They arrived late last year, but I hadn’t had a chance to use them before. I’m sure they will be used a lot now I can see how beautiful they are.

After die cutting, I coloured the die cuts with Distress Inks and then added them to another die cut for stability.

I also cut a white circle using Spellbinders circle die and used second generation stamping to add text from HA- Friends background stamp.

It was then time to arrange the flowers onto the die cuts.

I cut a black circle frame using the 2 closest sized dies from the same set.

Kasiercraft – Texture Bricks die was cut from white card and added to the card front for interest and texture.

The sentiment was from HA – Special Note of Thanks stamp set.

I hope you like this card as much as I do.

Time to head over to our blog to check out the great work by the rest of the Design Team!

I look forward to seeing what you create this month!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

Have a good day, stay safe and wishing you a very Happy New Year!

Cheer

Helen

I live in sunny Queensland, Australia with my husband and daughter. Since I was a child, I have always loved to create and have enjoyed all kinds of crafts, sewing and painting. China painting helped develop my understanding of colour and design. Over the last few years card making has taken up a major part of my crafting time as I love to play with new techniques and mediums. Since beginning my blog, entering various challenges has encouraged me to grow my skills and creativity.

  1. A beautifully crafted card Helen and with so much attention to detail, lovely as always to see you at Stamping Sensations and We Love Stamping challenges, but sadly ineligible for both as you will see from the entry requirements on both blogs.

  3. Such an eye-catching design Helen with those glorious red roses and the wonderful hint of brick wall. I love the way one of your roses has been taken from the bouquet and laid by the sentiment. Vicky x
