Hello and welcome
I’m thrilled to be back as Guest Designer for the July Challenge over at Stamping Sensations. The theme is Summer Flowers! How wonderful!!
The challenge is open from July 3 to 24th. I hope you can play along.
My card features Altnew Paint-A-Flower: Sweet Pea stamp.
I started by stamping the sweet peas on a piece of card and watercoloured using Distress Inks.
The sweet peas were white heat embossed twice on velum.
All pieces were then fussy cut.
I added some light Speckled Egg Distress Ink sprayed with a little water on Altnew – Enchanting Vines EF. It gave a lovely soft look to the background, before being layered on the card front.
The flowers were then layered over the embossed background.
Altnew’s Hello die cut was added at the end.
I have always loved sweet peas.

Eventually – and apologies for being so late to come and thank you for your beautiful creation for Stamping Sensations. I can home from holiday to am MS relapse and only now able to get to my computer to do some commenting. It’s a beautiful creation and my thanks for being our Guest Designer this month at Stamping Sensations.

Please don’t apologise Brenda. I understand only too well. Your health is paramount. I truly hope you are starting to feel more like your life can return to a more normal routine. I am truly honoured to be invited as a Guest Designer. As you know I love joining in your challenges as often as I can and always appreciate your lovely supportive comments. I am so pleased you liked it. It was so lucky it was a flower challenge as I had made this card a few weeks before. I had fully intended to make a new one for the GD spot, but by the time I had made cards for my other commitments, I ran out of time before going in for surgery. I had loved the card but I often doubt myself. Anyway, thanks again for the honour and please look after yourself . Sending healing craft hugs. Hope you can have a good day. Cheers Helen
