Hello and welcome

I had fun creating another fun card for the February Altnew Challenge. I love the colour combination.

I started with a watercolour paper panel which I washed with the colours on the photo inspiration and sprayed it with Glimmer Mist for a lovely sparkle and a few gold splatters.

I added black card diecuts using the beautiful Leafy Garland Die.

The ‘birthday ‘ is from Altnew Modern Hello set.

Hello and welcome

I had fun creating this fun card for the February Altnew Challenge. I love the colour combination.

The flowers are Altnew Statement Flowers water coloured with Distress inks.
On another panel I smooched the ink colours. This panel was cut down for the background.
The black panel uses Altnew’s Enchanting Vines 3D embossing folder.

The sentiment if from Modern Hello stamp set.

Welcome back with a reminder for the February!! Our February Challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge  is  Anything Goes (Optional – Hearts &/or Flowers).

My card features PB – Key to My Heart stamp set. A lovely simple but super sweet image with just a little easy masking to get the teddy to sit on the heart.

After watercolouring with Distress Inks, all the hearts had lots of Wink of Stella adde, but sadly it didn’t show up in the photos. 😦 So pretty with the sparkle!!

The sentiment is PB -Sweet Wishing die.

My card features the beautiful Spontaneous Joy stamped using Distress Inks.

Once the panel was cut down, I added a strip of vellum with the sentiment from Special Thoughts stamp set heat embossed in black.

It was finished with a few jewels.
