Hello and welcome

It’s time for a new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday. This week is Dawn’s  “All About Occasions Challenge”. So I hope you will find the time to share your work.
Image may contain: textMy card this week is a super quick and lots of fun!

After cutting a panel, it was stamped with The Cat’s Pajamas -‘Up, Up & Away’ stamp set. It was then easy to use Distress Inks to watercolour the kite and add white gel pen dots.

The background was light inking with Kaisercraft ‘Birch’ stencil with some Distress Inks.  As it was such a small area, you didn’t really need to mask.

The sentiment came from W Plus 9 ‘Going Places’ set.

I haven’t made a card this quick for ages!

Don’t forget to head over to our blog to check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our Design Team.

I look forward to seeing what you create this week!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit

Cheers

Helen

Let’s get together … coffee date?

Hello and welcome again

I’m sharing this fun card I made using one of my favourite AI sets ‘Udderly Fantastic’.

After stamping the seated cow  in Momento – Rich Cocoa ink, it was watercoloured with  Distress Inks and fussy cut.

A piece of kraft card (I used some old packaging) was randomly stamped with images from Flourishes – Mix-N-Mugs set, SSS Coffee Hour and stencilled with TCW Mini Well Rounded, then trimmed to size.

My card front was covered with pale gingham DP.

The kraft card was attached to the front on an angle, followed by circles cut with SSS Stitched Circles. The smaller circles were stamped with the sentiments from There She Goes –  Chalkboard Memories set.

The cow was attached with raised tape along with the sentiment circles and calendar.

AI stamps always make me smile.

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit

Cheers

Helen

Wow!  This is 3 posts this week!

My CAS birthday card features  Winnie & Walter ‘ In a Word Happy’ stamp set.

The happy is stamped twice on water colour paper along with a present and balloon from MFT -‘It’s a Mice Time to Celebrate’ set.

They were water coloured with Distress Inks in an ombre fashion. The word ‘birthday’ from the same word set was stamped in grey ink across the last ‘happy’ as well as some small stars and circles from Winnie & Walter Scenery: Big Bang Confetti on the balloon and box.

To finish I added 2 cats of clear Wink of Stella!

Thanks so much for visiting.  I love to read your supportive comments.

Have a wonderful week

Hello and welcome

Welcome back to an new challenge over at Happy Little Stampers –  Anything Goes with Dies – June.  I hope you’ll join in the fun this month!

I can’t believe it – 2 Christmas cards is 2 weeks!!!

Today I had fun with My Monthly Hero kit stamp / die set from January, 2019.

I loved the whole thing when I first saw it, so I couldn’t resist!  I themed the florist shop for Christmas! So much fun!

I started by stamping the shop and coloured with copics before die cutting the outline and window.

The next thing was to stamp, colour and die cut the smaller images (flowers, containers) from the set along with the images from Sizzix Thinlets – Festive Set! ( reindeer, bow, greenery, star and Noel)

It was then only a matter of putting the shaker together.  I added some white glitter and a couple of stars into the well.

The backing piece featured a Cuttlebug EF with some hanging baskets attached.

This shop panel was then added to the card front, covered with Darice brick wall EF, coloured along the bottom to resemble a path.

To finish, I added the reindeer (covered in Wink of Stella) with bow and box of flowers onto the shop and the tall jar with die cut greenery tucked in behind the reindeer.

Finally, I glued the star, flowers and sentiment to the window!

I was so pleased with the way it turned out.

Time to head over to our blog to check out the great work by the rest of the Design Team!  Good luck with your entries!

Cheers

Helen

WWC233 – Karen’s Feminine “Anything Goes” Challenge

P1080289 (2)

Hello and welcome

It’s time for a new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday. This week is Karen’s  “Feminine “Anything Goes Challenge”. So I hope you will find the time to share your work!

My card features one of my favourite flowers, the hydrangeas.  I love their gorgeous colours and their large flower heads covered with small flowers. It is one of my oldest and well used stamps.

I started by stamping the image on a piece of watercolour card, masking and restamping to both to left and right to give the impression of a large bunch of blooms.

These were then watercolured using Distress Inks and Tombow Pens.  Centres used a gold pen.  The panel was trimmed and sprayed with Glimmer Mist to add some sparkle and texture.

I had decided to die cut Birthday using MFT – “Celebration” die set and use the eclipse technique.  However, I decided I like the white look as the image is so busy. Using some white shimmer card, I recut the word and adhered it to the card.

The panel was adhered to dark blue card and then the white card front.

The sentiment was white heat embossed using a section of a sentiment from MFT – Sweetest Somebunny Stamp set.

I love playing with this image.

Don’t forget to head over to our blog to check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our Design Team.

I look forward to seeing what you create this week!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit

Thanks so much for selecting my card as a ShowCASed card at Less is More July Challenge.

Hello and welcome

I have a quick one layer card this time.

It features Mama Elephant – Sticky Notes stamp set.  I started by gold heat embossing and fussy cutting the ‘sticky note’ on black cardstock.

I stamped it again onto the card front and then stamped the cat and dog around the note. They were coloured using Distress Inks.

The black note was then glued over the one stamped on the front.

I really appreciate you stopping to check out my blog.

Have a great day!

Cheers

Helen

Purr-maid kisses & starfish wishes (HLS Watercolour)

P1080282 (2)

Hello and welcome

I’m back with a card for HLS Watercolour Challenge for August 2019 with an optional twist of OCEAN!  However, anything  watercolour is just fine.

I had been looking at SSS- Summer Cuddly Critters Stamp set for a while, so when this month’s challenge was ‘ocean’, it was the perfect chance to play!

I started by cutting a watercolour card and white heat embossing  the sentiment, and bubbles.  Next I added Distress inks, first with a brush on wet and then adding some smooching to give more depth and interest. Finally, I sprayed with Glimmer Mist for some sparkle.

I then stamped a section of Kaisercraft coral reef stamp in Antique Linen DI and painted with various Distress Inks.

The cute purr-maid was stamped on another piece of card and watercoloured again with DI.  I made a template for her tail and cut it from some sparkle paper, before fussy cutting and gluing to the water panel. The panel was glued to the card front.

Finally, I added Wink of Stella to the bubbles and her bikini top.

Please head over to our blog and check out the wonderfully inspirational work by the rest of the Design Team!  I hope you will find the time to join our challenge this month.  Good luck!

Thanks so much for visiting. I really appreciate you taking the time.
Happy crafting
Helen
