Hello and welcome
I’m back with a card for HLS Watercolour Challenge for February 2019 with an optional twist of METALLICS! However, anything watercolour is just fine.
I have decided on a CAS card featuring this beautiful feather from Kaisercraft’s ‘ Feather’ Dies & Stamps set. I must admit I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it instore. Luckily, it was on a discount day and home it came. However, I haven’t had a chance to play until now.
From a piece of watercolour paper, I cut a front panel using MFT Blueprints 26 set.
After gold heat embossing the feather, I used Gansai Tambi watercolours to loosely colour the image and add a few splatters.
Once the panel was adhered to the card front, I added a die cut sentiment from a local company which had been gold heat embossed twice (to give it more dimension).
So quick and easy but I was happy with the way it turned out! I hope you like it too!

This is one of the most beautiful stamp feathers. Great combination of colors, gold and turquoise look stunning.

We certainly were on the same wave with our cards this month Helen. It’s as if we were crafting together – feathers and colours so similar. Love your background wash as it highlights that beautiful feather perfectly. Gorgeous card.
