WWC306 – Michelle’s Challenge: All About Occasions

Hello and welcome

Today it’s time for the next challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday!  This week Michelle is hosting the Challenge: All About Occasions.

This week’s card features Stampendous – House-Mouse Designs – Celebrate Friends stamp set. It has several fun little mouse images.

I stamped 2 of the images, and then the third, I masked the second little mouse that was holding his hand, so that I could use just one.

After stamping, they were watercoloured using Tombow pens is shades of grey.

Each was then cut using MFT – stitched Mod Squares STAX dies.

To add a background to each little panel, I used the small images from SSS – Party Like A Panda stamp set, stamping in black.

The card background used more of the small images from the SSS set as well as the ‘Hurray’ from the House Mouse set, stamped in HA White Ink.

The panel was then trimmed to fit a slimline card and the die cut ‘Celebrate’ was added to the side.

I love the monochromatic look.

Hello and welcome

Today it’s time for our new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday! This week I’m thrilled to be hosting the Challenge –Anything with a Masculine Twist.

I had lots of fun this week, colouring this fun image from The Cat’s Pajamas – Take Off. I decided the best way to make it ‘pop’ was to used red and yellow, as I really think it’s a perfect “look at me” colour combo! I just love TCP’s fun images – so much fun and usually a little different!!

After stamping and copic colouring, I stamped the hills, fence, flowers and trees using MFT – Ewe Are the Best, and copic coloured them.

To finish, I sponged ink using MFT – Cloud stencil.

The main sentiment is from another TCP set – For Fox Sake and the small Happy Birthday is SSS – Hello You.

I think this one is super cute!

Fun Times … It’s Your Birthday (PB Saturday Challenge)

Hello and welcome back

This is a reminder for the first challenge for 2021 over at Penny Black Saturday Saturday Challenge! Our January theme  is Anything Goes (Optional – ‘Something New’.  You still have time to join in the fun!

To-day’s cared features another new fun stamp from PB! (And another non- floral or critter stamp!!!) I just love PB Stamps!

To begin the P – Fun Times Girls was stamped and copic coloured!

The panel then had strips of black cardstock added to the side.

The first sentiment from SSS – Big Birthday Wishes set was stamped along the bottom of the image.

The ‘Fun Times’ sentiment is from the image set and was again stamped on a strip and added to the top of the card front using raised tape.

These girls look to be having a great time together! Spending time with friends is such an important thing for me!

Hello and welcome

Today it’s time for the next challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday!  This week Kath is hosting the Challenge: All About Occasions.

This week my card features House Mouse Stamp – Cling Bon Bon Birthday.

After stamping and watercolouring with Tombow pens, the panel was cut using

MFT – Framed Ovals die (3 layers).

I drew in some confetti to match that on the floor on the background.

Three small balloons from SSS Celebration Time dies were watercoloured, along with streamers from Winnie & Walter The Party Confetti Cutaway dies set.

The sentiments come from MFT – Make a Wish and Chalkboard Greetings sets.

After adding DP to the card front, the other elements were added.

This is such a fun image!

Hello, my friend (HLS Dies)

Hello and welcome

We’re back after a break with the first challenge over at Happy Little Stampers –  Anything Goes with Dies – January.   As always, anything goes in this challenge. So, I hope you’ll find time in  your busy life to join in the fun this month!

My card uses a new to me die – Altnew – Leaf Canopy.

Using Altnew inks I blended colour on a panel of card, then added a little Cosmic Shimmer – Pixie Powder – Plum Twist before spraying with water.

Once dry, the leaves were die cut along with the Altnew ‘Hello” die (another new one for me!) There is a lovely shimmer, but it just doesn’t photograph well and looks more like dark spots!

The background was created with grey card die cut with Altnew Layered Medallions Cover Die B.

Altnew Layered Plaid Cover Die A from silver cardstock.

These were layered over a light grey speckled card and then onto the card front.

The leaves and hello were then layered on top, along with the ‘my friend’ (a favourite from Everyday Greeting from There She Goes Stamps), sentiment stamped on a scrap of pink card using grey ink.

Today it’s time for the first challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday for 2021!  This week  Karen is hosting the Challenge: Anything Goes with a Feminine Twist.

This week’s card is a friendship card.

It features the Gina K – Thank You Friend stamp set. The flowers were stamped on some watercolour card,and Distress watercoloured before the panel was heart die cut . This was a new set for me to play with!

The sentiment from the stamp set was added to the side of the heart.

An EF was used to create a background using peart card.

This was then added to the card front on top of a black card panel. The heart was then added.

A sentiment from Mama Elephant – Occasional Labels stamp set was white heat embossed on a strip of black card and added to the bottom corner of the card.

Hello and welcome

Today I’m back with a new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday. I am excited to host for this fortnight’s Watercooler Wednesday Challenge: All About Occasions.

My card features a newer to me set from the Australian Company – Paper Rose – Snugglepot & Cuddlepie Little Things Stamp Set. (Snugglepot and Cuddlepie are characters from a well known Australian story written and illustrated by May Gibbs, first published in 1917.) The illustrations are wonderful based on the Australian bush!

I had lots of fun creating this card to celebrate the birth of twins!

After stamping the the images were coloured with pencil and fussy cut.

They were then added to a card front with a yellow panel overlaying a white.

2 cirlces were cut. The inner circle had clouds added using MFT cloud stencil, and the sentiment from the set stamped over the clouds. It was then added to the top of the slightly larger circle and then the card front.

A small ribbon was added across the front and the images placed across.

I loved this image for a baby card.

I was thrilled to be chosen as winner of Time Out Challenge – #178! Thank so much to them and to Birch Press!

Hello and welcome

It’s time for the first challenge for 2021 over at Penny Black Saturday Saturday Challenge! We begin January with the theme   Anything Goes (Optional – ‘Something New’.  I hope you have a chance to join in the fun!

To-day’s cared features a new stamp I fell in love with, PB – The Ride. I just know it is going to be well used as a firm favourite, as I can image lots of other uses already!! I just love PB stamps!!!

After stamping, the image was watercoloured using Festive Berries Distress ink.

A light shaded boarder and the sentiment was added.
I will probably use it as a Birthday card although it could be used for many occasions.

It came together quite quickly just as I had planned. Such a nice change!!

Hello and welcome

After our break, I’m back with the first challenge for 2021 at  HLS Watercolour Challenge for January, 2021. This year it’s Anything Goes so long as it features   watercolour.

To begin the year, I’m sharing this card I made for a friend’s parents to celebrate their 65th Wedding Anniversary. Such a wonderful milestone. They loved it and I’m thrilled to be able to share it.

I decided to use an Altnew stamp set. I just love their wonderful florals! They are favourites of mine.

I started by stamping Altnew’s – Pen Sketched Flowers on watercolour card and coloured it using Distress Inks (Blueprint Sketch). I love this colour!! I just love these flowers! They are one of my favourites. I never get tired of painting flowers!!! 🙂

The sentiments are from Altnew – Happy Together sentiments and Altnew – Painted Poppy sets.

I added a silver strip down the edge to finish.

This is larger than normal card to allow for the flowers to flow down the card.
