Less is More #476 ( For You)

I would like to thank everyone at AAA Cards for selecting my card as Runner Up in their Thankful challenge. I really appreciate your kind support.

Hello and welcome

Happy Saturday everyone. It’s time for a new challenge over at LIM. The challenge is to create using the theme: Recipe – Stencil Challenge.

I decided to use this elegantPenny Black – Verdant stencil. It was ink blended first in yellow, then orange and finally red distress inks, and then repeated back down to yellow to get a smooth blend.

To make it stand out, after cleaning the stenci, I placed it back over the flowers and added VersaMark ink and clear embossing powder. This gave it a lovely shine.

The sentiment in from an old mini set from Sara Coyte.

Please head over to our blog and check out the wonderfully inspirational work by the rest of the Design Team!  I hope you will find the time to join our challenge.

I look forward to seeing what you create!  Good luck!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

Stay safe

HLS October Stencil Challenge

Hope Your Day is Filled with Surprises (HLS – Dies)

Hello and welcome

We’re back with a new challenge over at Happy Little Stampers –  Anything Goes with Dies – October.   As always, anything goes in this challenge. So, I hope you’ll find time in  your busy life to join in the fun this month!

I had lots of fun creating this sweet Slider card. It uses some of my favourite techniques – watercolouring, die cutting and shaker elements!

After cutting the MFT – Slider Surprise die, I lightly watercoloured the centre slide up panel. When dry it was stencilled using MFT – Stars stencil in clear embossing paste sprinkled with fine Diamond glitter.

The MFT – Sweet Surprise stamp was stamped, Distress watercoloured and fussy cut. I added some Wink of Stella, Glossy Accents and Gelly Roll pen to added shine and detail. The sentiment from the same set was white heat embossed on black card. The bottom section was then added to the front slider panel, so it stands up when the slider is pulled up.

I cut another backing panel and ink blended it before stamping a sentiment from MFT – Count the Stars. It was then added to the card front.

Raised tape was added around the edge of panel to form a border for the shaker elements.

Glitter and sparkles were added to the centre, before a piece of clear acetate was added across the top to seal in the contents.

The top panels were then added on top.

Great to see the slider finally pull up to reveal the fun shaker elements and sentitment.

Finally the black strip sentiment was added.

A fun card for a special girl.

Time to head over to our blog to check out the great work by the rest of the Design Team!

I look forward to seeing what you create this month!
