Hello and welcome
I’m back with a card for HLS Watercolour Challenge for December 2019 with the optional twist of CHRISTMAS! However, anything watercolour is just fine.
My Christmas card is very simple, but I just love the effects.
To begin the top quarter of my card front was masked off using post-it notes.
Then using one of my original old wood block stamps, I started colouring the holly image with Distress Markers before giving it a light mist with water mixed with Perfect Pearls (for a little shine), and stamping it on the card.
This was continued until the panel was covered.
When it was dry, the masking tape was carefully removed.
The sentiment from the SSS Christmas stamp set was used as a border to finish the panel. I worked from the apex of the triangle to ensure the words fitted evenly. They were stamped using Brilliance Lightning Black Ink, which again gave a little sparkle. I felt the small heart from the same set just finished it off.
Please head over to our blog and check out the wonderfully inspirational work by the rest of the Design Team! I hope you will find the time to join our challenge this month.
I look forward to seeing what you create! Good luck!
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit. I love to read your comments.
Have a great day
Cheers
Helen

Love the splashy watery look of the leaves. And I had to take a second look as at first this design looked just like an envelope! Thanks for playing at AAA Cards, hope to see you join in with future challenges too.

Very cute CAS design. Thanks for sharing with us at Die Cut Divas. Just one question though, I have must miss the info, but did you use a die cut machine in any way when producing this card?

Simply delightful, but I don’t think you used a die cut anywhere on this card. Please do join in future challenges, but remember All cards / projects must be made using at least one die cut or embossing folder. You can use any die cut machines, including Silhouette and Cricut machines.
