Time Out Challenge #265

It’s time for our new challenge over at Time Out! We ask you to be inspired by words! “There are always flowers for those who want to see them.” How beautiful!

Our wonderful sponsor is AltenewOur challenge winner as chosen by the Design Team will receive a $15.00 Store Credit as a prize from Altenew.

I chose Altnew, our sponsor’s Wonderland stamp set for this challenge. I love these fun elegant flowers.

After gold heat embossing on the card front and vellum, the flowers were watercoloured with Distress inks. It was then just a matter of layering them up.

The edge of the base card was stencilled again with Altnew – Blooming Freesia set.

The sentiment is from Altnew – Blooming Freesia.

Please head over to our blog to  check out the wonderfully inspirational work by the rest of the Design Team!  I hope you will find the time to join our challenge this month.

I look forward to seeing what you create!  Good luck!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments and will be sure to check out your blog.

I hope you all have a chance to enjoy some crafting time.

Cheers

Helen

I live in sunny Queensland, Australia with my husband and daughter. Since I was a child, I have always loved to create and have enjoyed all kinds of crafts, sewing and painting. China painting helped develop my understanding of colour and design. Over the last few years card making has taken up a major part of my crafting time as I love to play with new techniques and mediums. Since beginning my blog, entering various challenges has encouraged me to grow my skills and creativity.

  1. Spectacular card, Helen. The gold embossing is elegant and the different hues of the colors in the flower petals adds a lot of interest.

  2. What a fabulous design, Helen. I love the embossed and colored floral image and the colors you choseb but the addition of the vellum in the middle, the polka dots on the right and the part of the floworal peeking from the vellum edge on the right looks fabulous. THEN the additional floral die cut on top of the vellum is a home run!!!! I could not love it more.
