Hello and welcome

Time Out has a new challenge for you that opens today and runs through to December 17. This time it is a very special challenge in celebration of Time Out’s 12th birthday.

Time Out Challenges paper-crafting challenge was founded by Nonni Niskanen and Sandie Munro – two good friends who loved to take “time out” to craft and invite people in blogland with the same interest to join them.
They launched the first challenge on March 20, 2014.

Today, we will proudly celebrate our 12th birthday with Challenge #308. In recent years, we have chosen a muse to create a card for our participants to CASE. This year, we are please to welcome Stef Perry of Perry Papercrafts as our muse. Stef has created this gorgeous card for our celebration. The challenge is for our designers and participants to take inspiration from Stef’s card and make their project their own. We ask that our participants explain how their project is influenced by Stef’s card. Projects can be for any occasion.

Our wonderful sponsor, Waffle Flower Crafts, is generously offering a $25.00 store credit as a prize for our Challenge Winner, who will also get an invitation to join us as Guest Designer for a future challenge.

We are joined by Verena Shapiro of Simple Stamper on Instagram, and winner of Time Out #303 as Guest Designer.

My card feattures a stamp from our sponsor, Waffle Flower – Crocus Flowers.

After embossing in gold, I used Distress inks to watercolour the image before fussy cutting.

It was then added to the background that featured Embossing Folder with gold splatters.

The sentiment is from a very old Verve set – Birthday Surprise.

It was finished with the black strip top and bottom and the gold bow.

Hello and welcome

I’m back with a reminder for the the January Challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge! The theme is Anything Goes (Optional – Something New.

As usual, we are sponsored by the awesome

I used the PB – Unforgettable stamp which I haven’t used before.

After stamping and white heat embossing, I did some very loose wataercolour, so different to the way I usually colour. So something new for me. I must use this easy colouring again.

After fussy cutting it was attached to a black card base.

The silver heat embossed sentiment is PB – Sprinkles & Smiles.
