Hello and welcome
I am thrilled to have been invited as Guest Designer for the newest challenge over at Time Out. The challenge is “to get you out working in the garden!”
I love the garden, so this is a perfect challenge for me. My thought was a garden trellis with flowers cascading over it. This month’s challenge is sponsored by Altnew, so it was an easy decision on which stamp company to use.
I started by stamping Altnew – Pen Sketched Flowers in Distress Inks and watercolouring them in a mix Distress Inks. They were then fussy cut.
The navy blue card front was stamped randomly with Altnew – Fragile Foliage in white ink.
Altnew – Layered Plaid Cover Die A was cut twice from white card and overlaid to give a more filled in trellis.
The flowers were then added to the trellis – some on top and some woven through it, before being added to the card front.
The sentiment is from Altnew – Inked Lotus set.
I had lots of fun making this one.

This is a stunning card Helen. Such stunning detail. Love the background with the white inking-nice subtle touch. And the flowers are beautifully coloured and a super wow to the fussy cutting!! And I adore how you arranged then on the trellis. We are so pleased to have you as GD-a bug welcome x

Wow, Helen … what a beauty! The background stamped foliage is so delicate and dreamy … and your colouring of those gorgeous climbing blooms is just delicious … you must have the patience of a saint to trim all those out so wonderfully! Helen, Thank you for sharing you awesome flower card with us in the Uniko Spring Challenge #64.
Your colouring looks great and I love how you added the white “shadows” of more flowers behind the white trellis.
