Hello and welcome

Today it’s time for the next challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday!  This week  it is Dawn’s Challenge: All About Occasions.

My card features SSS – Chillin’ Frenchies stamp set. I thought this little guy was so cute!!

It is a simple CAS card. After copic colouring, I added some ocean with copics.

The panel was then die cut and added to a card front.

Hello and welcome

My card is a special friendship card featuring Hero Arts – Beautiful Day Agapanthus. I love them.

To begin, I stamped the larger ball flower 3 times using a mask and heat embossing it in a glitter EP.  It’s the remains of an old bottle so sadly, I’m not sure what brand it is.

I used a navy paper with a glittery sheen to it, so lots of shine all over.

The water colouring used Delicata White Shimmer ink pad.  This made for super quick colouring with great results! It’s just a shame it is so difficult to photograph the shine and glitter! 😦

The panel was then fussy cut along the bottom edge and added to a pale blue card front.

The ‘friends’ sentiment is from Winnie & Walter die cut from the same blue card and added to the front over the flowers.

Today it’s time for the next challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday!  This week  it is Tristan’s Challenge: Anything Goes with a Feminine Twist.

My card features MFT – Sweet BD Wishes stamp set.

The birthday girl was stamped, copic coloured and fussy cut. OF course, I added some Wink of Stella to give it some shine!

The card front was cut with MFT Die-namics Stitched Basic Edges.

I thought this cute DP was a perfect background for the cupcake. A little Wink of Stella was added to the cupcakes, cut using MFT  Blueprints 26 set. I trimmed the white card front to match.

The sentiment rectangle was recurring stamping of sentiments from the same stamp set.

I added a panel inside the card for a gift card, money or some other little gift.

I’m back for the new  Penny Black Saturday August Challenge! This month the theme is  Anything Goes (Optional ‘Make the Sentiment the Focus’).  I hope you have a chance to join in the fun! It finishes soon.

I had lots of fun using this cute little PB stamp – Airborne!  I love this sweet little pup in his basket. Even better it was quick to make!  🙂

The image was watercoloured using Distress Inks and of course, some Wink of Stella on the balloons and ribbons and Gelly Roll on the strings.

The cloud background used MFT Cloud stencil.

The sentiment is PB – Just for You die cut once in blue and once in white and glued together to make a blue shadow.

I hope my card brings you a smile! 🙂

For my card, I stamped images form MFT – It’s a Mice Time to Celebrate stamp set.  After stamping and copic colouring the images (2 of the mice), they were fussy cut. Wink of Stella and Gelly Roll pen was added to the images to add some extra sparkle.

The sentiment is from the same set and white heat embossed on black card and then fussy cut.

As the mice are not completely symmetrical, I decided to add a glitter star as the background for them to spin on.  The stars use MFT – Star STAX die set.

The background features Altnew – Dotted Diamonds background stamp white heat embossed.

Today it’s our new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday! This week is special as it the Fifth Week of the Month, so it’s an Anything Goes Challenge.

With Christmas in July being in focus at the moment, I decided to make another Christmas card.

I used Art Impressions – Tropical Christmas Set. I love the fun images in this set – so relevant for us here in Australia where we celebrate a hot summer Christmas!

After stamping, Distress watercolouring and fussy cutting the images, I added some sparkle and shine to them.  I started with Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents for the baubles and lights.  I used my Gelly Roll pen on the chord, hangers and adding detail to the palm tree. The “joy” on Santa’s shirt and the top of his thongs had some red glitter added. Finally, Santas’s sack  was covered in Glossy Accents.

       

The beachy background was blended with Distress Oxide Inks.

I didn’t want to make a traditional style scene, so decided to add SSS Ring Frame die to the front to break up the background and allow me to add the images randomly.

The sentiment is from the same set and stamped in Brilliance Lightning Black adding just a little more sparkle! Can you ever have too much?!?!

It’s so difficult to see all that sparkle and shine from a photo!! I’m sure it will bring a smile to someone this Christmas!!

I was really happy with this fun and very different Christmas card!  I hope you like it too.

Today it’s our new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday! This week Heidi is hosting the Challenge – All About Occasions.

I was looking through a box of stamps this week and came across this stamp I had picked up years ago on a throw out table. I loved it, but hadn’t done much with it.  So here it is!!!

After stamping this Docrafts – Tall Urban Stamp Michael Powell (White Christmas), it was watercoloured using Distress Inks.

To complete I added Wink of Stella and my favourite Gelly Roll pen.

I hope this picture show a little of the shine and sparkle! So difficult to capture!

The sentiment is from an old Verve stamp set – Glad Tidings, stamped in Lightning Black Brilliance Ink.

I do love it and must use it again soon!

Hello and welcome

I’m back with a reminder for  Penny Black Saturday Challenge! This month the theme is Anything Goes (option ‘Nature’ ).  I hope you have a chance to join in the fun! It finishes soon.

My card features the PB Bejeweled Cling Stamp stamped on watercolour paper with Distress Markers, sprayed with water.  I added more definition with Inktense pencils.

The sentiment is from PB Heartfelt stamp set.

The frame was cut from kraft card using spellbinders Nestabilities – Captivating Squares, and the floral panel was added using raised tape.

The off white background card was stamped with PB – Allover Pattern using Versa Mark ink for a pale outline, and added to a square card.

The frame was then added to the front.

WWC280 – Kath’s Challenge: Anything Goes with a Masculine Twist.

 

Hello and welcome

Today it’s our new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday! This week Kath is hosting the Challenge – Anything Goes with a Masculine Twist.

Just for a change, I decided to try my hand at a CAS card. (Not something I do often!)

After cutting a slimline card front, I stamped the images from SSS – Party Like A Panda stamp set.

As the very cute little panda is already stamped black and white,  it helped to make this a super fast card to make.

I then added copic colouring for some bright pops of colour – yellow, fuchsia and grey. The addition of grey also allowed me to add  a hint of shadow on the panda.

To add a little impact, I traced over the black – Party Time with my Gelly Roll pen to give it some glitter, as well as some Wink of Stella on the party hat and confetti! (No surprise I guess!)

I was so happy with the way it turned out.
