Hello and welcome

Time Out has a new challenge that opens today and runs through to September 24. This time it is an Inspired By Challenge.

We are joined for this challenge by Darnell Knauss of djkardcreations, and winner of Time Out #292 as Guest Designer. 

When I think of the seasons, I really have to say I love summer. I can’t wait for it to arrive here is Australia!!

For my card I decided to go for a fun look with Santoro Gorguss – Little Fishes stamp set. It is so sweet and sadly this is the first time I’ve used it.

After stamping it was copic coloured and then watercoloured a washy beach background.

The sentiment is from Elizabeth Crafts – Ahoy Sentiments stamp set.

I was thrilled to have my card chosen as a winner over at Newton’s Nook – Inky Paws Challenge. Thank you so much!! I love their wonderful products!!

Helen F. created this beautiful card featuring the Seashell Roundabout stamp set. Don’t you love the gold embossing on the vellum? She colored all those shells wonderfully. She added some other little shells using the Summer Moments stamp set.  A beautiful way to showcase the sun shining on those shells!

I chose to feature Newton’s Nook – Seashell Roundabout stamp. It was heat embossed in Lawn Fawn Rose Gold embossing powder onto vellum. The effect made me think of the sun shining on the shells along the beach.

It was copic coloured on the back befroe being added to a circle die cut heat embossed in the Rose Gold again, and then added behind the white circle.

The sentiment was from the same set and a few small shells were embossed, fussy cut and added to finish. These stamps are from Newton’s Nook – Summer Moments stamp set.

My card features HA – Jungle Frame Fancy Die.

After watercolouring the die cut, it was backed with a black die cut for mor support.

I watercoloured a beach background to add behind the jungle die cut.

A butterfly from HA – Antique Engravings was black heat embossed and watercoloured before being added to the front.

The sentiment is from HA- Time For Cake stamp set.
