Time Out #305

Hello and welcome

Time Out has a new challnege that opens today and runs through February 4th. This time it is an Inspired By challenge and it is… A favourite card making technique

Card making techniques involve various methods to add texture, dimension, and unique looks, including stamping techniques (heat embossing, two-step, rolling, stamping off), colouring methods (watercolor, blending brushes, marker techniques, crayon resist), texture additions (dry embossing, paper kintsugi, faux finishes like silk/metal), iinteractive elements (gate folds, easel cards, card spinners), and background effects (Gelli printing, tissue paper, ink smooshing) for creative papercrafts. The list goes on and on…
Please choose one or more of your favorites for your project, and BE SURE TO NAME IT/THEM IN YOUR POST.

Our wonderful sponsor, Top Flight Stampsisgenerously offering a $25.00 store credit as a prize for our Challenge Winner, who will also get an invitation to join us as Guest Designer for a future challenge.

I decided to chose colouring as my technique as it’s something I love to do. Today’s card featuring Altnew – Paint-A-Flower: Lotus is one I loved as soon as I saw it. Sadly it has been sitting in my box unfinshed since it arrived. It is coloured using Prismacolor pencils after stamping in white ink on the black cardstock.

To add a little dimension, I decided to add frames from Altnew Fine Frames Cover Dies in both black and gold as well as raising the main panel up inside the larger frame..

I decided to leave the sentiment fom my card and I can add it when I decide what I need.

Please head over to our blog to  check out the wonderfully inspirational work by the rest of the Design Team!  I hope you will find the time to join our challenge this month.

I look forward to seeing what you create!  Good luck!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments and will be sure to check out your blog.

I hope you all have a chance to enjoy some crafting time.

Cheers

Helen
