Penny Black Saturday Challenge – February 2026

Hello and welcome

I’m back with the new February Challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge! The theme is Anything Goes (Optional – Romance.!)

My card uses unused images from PB – My Sweet stamp set to make a background. It was Distress watercoloured and finished with some small dots usung a Gelly Roll pen and some clear Wink of Stella.

The sentiment is PB – Sweet wishes die cut and layered up and overed with Wink of Stella. The stamped sentiments are from the same stamp set and PB – Nice One!

Hello and welcome

Time Out has a new challenge that opens today and runs through April 9. This time it is another fun Inspired By Challenge: Your Favorite Movie.

Our wonderful sponsor is Claire Brennan of Claire Brennan Design & Illustration and former owner of Waltzingmouse Stamps.

Our Challenge winner will receive Claire’s Mid Mod City 4×8 Clear Stamp Set as a prize and an inviation to join us as Guest Designer for a future challenge.

We are joined by Ginger Williams of Andora’s Stamping Studio, and winner of Time Out #280 as Guest Designer.

I’m sure you’ll be able to guess what moive I selected.

To begin I embossed the background with Altnew – Basic Plaid 3D EF and splattered it with gold.

After cutting MFT – Chocolate Box dies from various card scraps the top of the box and inside were Embossed using Spellbinders Celebrations EF.

The sentiment is Penny Black – Special Thoughts set.

Have you guessed?? Not too difficult – Forest Gump (“… life is like a box of chocolates!”).

A reminder for the February Challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge! This month our theme is Hearts! But as always you can play along with Anything Goes!! I hope you will find time to join in!

One of my new purchases last year was the super fun PB stamp set – “My Sweet”. So many sweet food images!

I chose the cone. After Distress watercolouring, I fussy cut the image.

The background panel was smooched with Worn Lipstick mixed with some shimmer water.

The sentiment is the Sweet Wishes die again.

I added Glossy Accents to the chocolate and the cherry.
