Hello and welcome

I’m back with the new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday  –  Marsha’s “All About Occasions” Challenge!  I hope you will join us this week!

I decided it was time to make a shaker card, so I took out another of my much loved Art Impressions Stamp Sets  – Party Girls.   After stamping, copic colouring and fussy cutting the image,  Wink of Stella and  Glossy Accents was added to the balloons, as well as some glitter pen details to the ladies’ tops.

The next step was to cut MFT Pierced Circle largest frame from white card as well as a sheet of coloured fun foam. A piece of acetate was then glued between the 2 circles. Assorted sequins and glitter cut outs were placed on the centre of the card front, before the acetate section was glued in place.

When dry, the ladies  were added on top using foam tape.

The ‘friends’ was die cut from silver glitter card using Winnie & Walter The Big, the Bold and Friends Cutaways and glued to the front.

The ‘fabulous’ word from Uniko – ‘You Are – Yes You’ Set  was stamped in black, fussy cut then adhered to a piece of glitter card and fussy cut again. This was glued above the circle along with some stars!

Thanks so much for visiting

I live in sunny Queensland, Australia with my husband and daughter. Since I was a child, I have always loved to create and have enjoyed all kinds of crafts, sewing and painting. China painting helped develop my understanding of colour and design. Over the last few years card making has taken up a major part of my crafting time as I love to play with new techniques and mediums. Since beginning my blog, entering various challenges has encouraged me to grow my skills and creativity.

  1. This is such an absolutely genius idea for a shaker card! I love how your group of ladies is so full of energy! They feel like they’re bursting off the page! I couldn’t help but smile at this and I also like your use of rich colors and sparkles. This came together perfectly and I’m so glad you shared it with us for this week’s Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
