Happiest of Birthday to You (HLS Watercolour)

I would like to thank the team over at Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge for selecting my card in the Top 3 for their Flowers as the Focus

SISTERHOOD TOP THREE AWARD

Hello and welcome

Today I’m back with HLS Watercolour Challenge for June, 2021. This year it’s Anything Goes so long as it features watercolour. So easy to join in!

Today I’m sharing a birthday card I made for a very special person.

It features Colorado Craft Company – Big & Bold -Perfume Bouquet stamp set.

It is watercoloured using Distress Inks and then I added a little Prismer Color pencils for some added details. Watercolouring is my favourite technique and the one I use most.

I love these stamp sets with their amazing details.

I gold heat embossed the little tag for the bottle and added it on top of a piece of ribbon.

I hope you like it.

Please head over to our blog and check out the wonderfully inspirational work by the rest of the Design Team!  I hope you will find the time to join our challenge this month.

I look forward to seeing what you create!  Good luck!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments.

Stay safe

Cheers

Helen

I live in sunny Queensland, Australia with my husband and daughter. Since I was a child, I have always loved to create and have enjoyed all kinds of crafts, sewing and painting. China painting helped develop my understanding of colour and design. Over the last few years card making has taken up a major part of my crafting time as I love to play with new techniques and mediums. Since beginning my blog, entering various challenges has encouraged me to grow my skills and creativity.

  1. Wow! Love everything on this card, Helen – the flowers look fabulous, so does the glass jar; the gold embossing stands out, but doesn’t take anything away from the flowers, so I also love the design. Totally gorgeous card!!

  6. Stunning card, Helen ! I also bought this stamp but didn’t play yet with it. Now I’ve seen your card, I’m a bit afraid to use it, I won’t be able to colour it as beautifully as you did. LOVE it ! Thanks so much for sharing and for playing along at LIM and ATSM.

    1. Wow! Izzy. You’re kind comments have certainly made my day! I’m so pleased you liked it and sure you will do it justice. I was the same, it sat in my stash waiting to be used. I’ve got a few more ideas for using it again. (Soon I hope)! Thanks again. Stay safe! πŸ™‚
