Hello and welcome
Wow!! Here we are on the first day of 2022! I truly hope this year will be a good one for everyone. Being the 1st means it is the time for the first HLS Watercolour Challenge for January, 2021. This year it’s Anything Goes so long as it features watercolour. So easy to join in!
I have started by creating an easy watercolour floral card.
To begin I white heat embossed Altnew – Paint-a-Flower: Paeonia Japonica on a piece of watercolour card. (A stamp I love but haven’t always been happy with the outcome.)
It was then only a matter of doing very loose wet on wet watercolouring using Distress Inks to colour the image. Finally, I was much happier with the outcome.
The sentiment is from the same set.

Its a gorgeous image, indeed and I love your watercoloring – especially how the color extends beyond the image, and into the background. Gives a beautiful illusion of more flowers in the background.
