Time Out Challenge #258

Hello and welcome

We are back with an Inspiration Photo for Challenge #258. It’s Leap Year, and our new challenge opens on Leap Day! We thought it fitting to have some leaping inspiration in the form of a frog!

We are generously sponsored by Lawn Fawn. Our challenge winner will receive a $25.00 Lawn Fawn store credit and an offer to Guest Design at Time Out for a future challenge.

After loooking through my stash, I found a frog stamp set from Katzelkraft. It hadn’t been used before.

After stamping the frog and watercolouring with Distress inks, it was fussy cut and covered with Glossy Accents to give him some shine.

I also found a pretty Lilly Pad stencil from Artistcellar. I inked a piece of green card with Evergreen Bough ink, then brushed some ink over the lilly pads with some greens. Finally the panel was sprayed with Glimmer Mist.

The panel was then added behind a MFT stitched rectangle frame made from the back of a coffee box. Love that kraft colour. The ‘Hello” die is from Avery Elle was added along with the frog.

The sentiment is from MFT- Sunshine & Friendship stamp set.

Please head over to our blog to  check out the wonderfully inspirational work by the rest of the Design Team!  I hope you will find the time to join our challenge this month.

I look forward to seeing what you create!  Good luck!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  I love to read your comments and will be sure to check out your blog.

I hope you all have a chance to enjoy some crafting time.

Cheers

Helen

I live in sunny Queensland, Australia with my husband and daughter. Since I was a child, I have always loved to create and have enjoyed all kinds of crafts, sewing and painting. China painting helped develop my understanding of colour and design. Over the last few years card making has taken up a major part of my crafting time as I love to play with new techniques and mediums. Since beginning my blog, entering various challenges has encouraged me to grow my skills and creativity.

  1. Love the way you’ve mounted him Helen, with his legs around the sentiment and diving out of the frame! Great idea to stencil the background and what a cute and applicable sentiment! Hugs, Kate!
